Neighbors told me this person died and nobody has been taking care of this lawn

I started setting up to mow this yard in my parents neighborhood, and one of the neighbors came out and said she hasn’t seen anyone here for several weeks, and another neighbor stopped while I was edging and said he thinks the person died, he thought I was working for the city.

Josh, The title of this video brings back a memory. Years ago, I had an older lady for a neighbor. She lived in the same house her mother had lived in. After she was moved to a care center, a neighbor and I made the place look lived in for 3 years. He did the mowing, i trimmed around things, trimmed rosebushes and swept the front porch off. I’m thinking of following/stalking the city people that go give yard warnings. I ran into one the other day and they said the get thousands of calls for yards.

Also like myself & my husband live in a private association 🏡 the housing managers don’t come around nowadays. Only if someone complains. Its amazing how selfish people can be. Almost all the surrounding neighbors had perfectly manicured lawns and instead of taking an hour or so to mow this lawn they called the city and complained knowing the homeowner had passed away. Great job and hopefully the neighbors learned a lesson in compassion watching you work!
