Fill's Lawn Care

10 ай бұрын

I maintain some properties down the street from this empty lot, and every time I'd drive by it, nothing was getting done to it. So I decided to take action and clean up the street, sidewalk, and lot for free. It looked like it hadn't been cut in many years; the grass and weeds were chest-high in some areas, and the street gutters were caked with old maple leaves and years of accumulated dirt. After I finished cleaning up the lot, the neighbors gave me a round of thank-yous and said it had never looked this clean. I'm glad I could not only help whoever owns this empty lot but also help the neighbors out, as they are the ones that have to look at this jungle every single morning.
On top of that, they have to deal with all the weed seeds that blow into their yards every year.
My final thought about this property and a question I couldn't conclude was this: Was there a house here at one point? Maybe well over 100 years ago? I'm not sure. Maybe someone can one day solve that mystery...

I think what I've learned from watching these videos is to be 1. I am more aware of my neighbors and how they might be fighting real-life battles that no one else knows about. 2. If I lived next door to someone who didn't (or couldn't) care for their property, then I would voluntarily take care of it so that the valuation of my own property wasn't affected.

Definitely had a house there at one time. Those steps prove it. Hope now that it is cleaned up, that someone will start a new house there soon. Cross fingers! Wonderful job done for the neibourhood in the mean time.👍👍🇦🇺

I can't believe that the city services didn't clean up the street at least. I'm guessing that the neighbors didn't call and complain enough about it.

I liked how you cleaned up the gutter of the streett and the sidewalk area, but I have to admit I was a bit sad to see the wildflower meadow go. It was probably nice for bees etc. I'm a bit weird - I like things a little bit wild in Nature. Anyone know what the flowers were? I saw mauve/blue ones and a few pink ones.

Ironically it wasn’t any sort of wildflower meadow, it was just an abandoned and unloved suburban plot dragging down the security and values of all the nearby properties. (Fortunately there are millions of square miles of natural wildflower meadows all over the country so don’t worry yourself too much! )😁🖖

I always love how the city would cite a person for their overgrown lawn. But if it falls to them they only mow maybe every few months. And only do the bare minimum. So it's either half a## or left to fallow. Keep up the good work.

It’s beautiful to see people helping people in various ways. Cleaning up a neighbor’s yard is just one of the many ways to do so. This nice clean cut yard is so much more pleasant to look at, than all the bushes before. The Scripture says, “Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.” (Luke 6:38). As we seek to be a blessing, the Lord also sends blessings our way. It may not be from the person we blessed or by financial means, but the Lord’s Blessings comes in various forms.❤ Reklamation Ministries 😊

Great job - I'm always surprised that the neighbors NEVER mow/trim - esp if someone in the neighborhood has a riding lawn mower - it keeps the critter level down big time to keep it shorter/safer for neighborhood kids, pets, etc.

Actually they are all wildflowers and plants. There is no biological difference between what we have decided to call “plants” or “weeds”, it’s just what we have chosen to admire in our own cultures and those that we have chosen to “reject”..- fortunately butterflies and bees love them all equally as much! 😁🥰
