10:16 I am very glad that he spoke about this maybe because of his prelims experience. Hardly anyone speaks about this as if there was no role of luck in achieving a good rank or most importantly qualifying this exam. Tina dabi the 2015 Rank 1 scored the exact cut off mark in Prelims paper 1. One question wrong or attempted less and she was out of the race. And she is not the only one. Even her sister ria dabi somehow managed to get pass that cut off mark in Pre GS 1..There are innumerable candiadtes who became rankers or cleared this exam with a huge role of lady luck..But having said that, they have done the hard work as well.

Thik wese hi tina dabi ne bhi apni SC category ka EXACT cut off hasil kya tha jabke log sochte hain ki usne cut off easily clear kya hoga..Woh agar 1 question bhi galat karti ya kam attempt karti toh woh out thi..Aur koi pehchanta bhi nahi tha ki ye Tina dabi kaun hain ? Kya ye luck nahi ? Ek topper 1 mark zyada score karne ki wajah se IAS banta hain jabke dusra banda 1 mark kam score karne ki wajah se IPS banta hain instead of IAS..Kya ye luck nahi ? Ranking mein 1 mark bohot matter karta hain..Aur dusre bewakufo ki tarah ye mat sochna ki asli competition sirf apne general category walo mein hain, sc/st, obc walo mein bhi bohot competition chal raha hain aaj Kal..Jese general category students apne picchle saal(o) ke cut off dekhke predict karte hain ki kitna cut off ho sakta hain uss bar aur kitna attempt karna chahiye thik wese hi sc/st , obc wale bhi apni cut off dekhke attempt karte hain..Isliye ye category wala excuse dena bandh Karo aur dusre category ke students ki izzat karna sikho..Kabhi dekha hain toppers ko ese excuse dete huwe. Jo losers hote hain woh hi ye cut off wala rona rote rehte hain kyunki unme confidence hi nahi hain ki woh apni category ka cut off achieve kar sakenge isliye dusre category walo ko bura bolte hain.

I didn't join any coaching classes, neither online nor offline. Was associated with couple of coaching for Mentorship and Test Series. The Sleepy Classes thing you are mentioning, I had taken their Rapid Revision Series for two subjects which are of 6-7 hrs lecture each, didn't say mentorship. anywhere. Took mentorship from CivilsDaily. Had seen Sleepy Classes free KZbin videos, they are wonderful.
