Hi, 4% withdrawal rule is inflation factored. Its a study to last 35y at least with a 60/40 portfolio. draw down 4% from 1.5mil.. is it only last 18years+ with 6% investment return yearly? - this part may have inherent calcuation errors... with 4% draw down with 0 return is already 25y.

good job you saved a lot of money ! my two cents for the HDB sale, its not about when you sell and how much you sell at that time, always relevant to your next plan, if you sell your HDB flat and intend to use the sales proceed + your saving to purchase Condo, then you better do it last year, because later you wait, you can sell your HDB at higher maybe 20K, 30K more but just might, but at same time you will pay a lot higher price for condo, in the end you lose a lot of money. same for year 2024, if you could grab new Condo in year 2024 then you should be safe, year 2025 new launch price would rise again or drop? i think you know better than me, same as COE, everyone looking forward to drop, in the end what they have got.

Uncle Josh. I think you are quite cocky. I have net worth > 3 times you did also dare not view myself financially free. Only financially adequate….😂

Financial freedom is a state of mind, not just a number 👌🏻

Your net worth at 40 is quite miserable. Especially the CPF portion 😂

As a Singaporean, by Age 30 at the very least you should have: 1) Minimum S$6000 Monthly Salary. (at least S$8,000 if you want to have a Family with 1 Kid, but even this is already considered Poverty Level) 2) At least own a Car (Japanese is ok, but you must upgrade to Continental Car in the next 5 years at least) 3) At least own 1 Condominium 4) Cash Savings of at least $250,000 This is actually the Base Minimum for an Average Singaporean by Age 30. If you do not achieve at least this bare minimum you are pretty much considered a Failure by everyone. 🙂

Not the right way to look. It’s fully focused on materialistic goals. Would encourage to be broader and at own pace k

lol why MUST upgrade to continental car?

@@rei151 If you have to ask this question, you are considered Poverty Line here in Singapore. 😂😂😂

Why even need to have car and so much idle cash? How many have a condo to their own name at age of 30?
