I normally don't comment on videos, but I feel the need to share something here. My father passed away in September of 2022. He was my best friend and hero. His loss was like a deathblow to me. I had to move in with my mom out of state and I wanted to end it all so bad many, many times. It drove me into a deep, dark depression for over a year. In October of 2023, I found this video and clicked on it as I was going down a Joshua Graham/Fallout New Vegas rabbit hole. Every single word of this spoke right to my very soul. I bowed my head and played along at the end (I've always been Christian and am born agian). Next thing I knew....The cycle of self-pity and groveling broke. My heart had been healed and the void dad left was filled. I can not, in no way shape or form, thank you, God, and Bethesda/Obsidian for doing something no ammount of medication, therapy or anything "worldly" can do. "The fire that had kept me alive was love. Thier love. God's love."

A year ago, in Feb some time, I was diagnosed with the same. I wanted to just give a few words of encouragement to you. I know that right now you might be feeling lost and defeated, but the fact that you have gone for help, this is the first step to getting better. Multiple times, I have had depression episodes because of extremely traumatic and stressful situations I have been through. Did not think I would come out strong at the end , I am. I can only thank God for my progress and my loving parents( my support system ). Please do not give up ! Keep following through with your treatments, therapies and even attend support groups. If you see this through, you will make it to the end of your dark depression. I still have clinical depression , but I am doing so much better than the starting days of my treatment. Even at one point in my life, I contemplated suicide and tried to end it multiple times in the past. So, point being, if I was in the dark so deep, if anyone is worthy of coming out, it is you bro. Hey there, its never too late to try and return to God again. Like the story in the Prodigal Son, God will accept you as you turn towards him and his Jesus Christ. But I dont think you need to go to Jerusalem to do this. Simply follow Joshua's example of prayer, and speak with God. Tell him your worries, your doubts and fears, and ask for what you need. Give thanks for what he has already given you. God does not require you to travel to Jerusalem to grow closer to him, you simply need to reach out to him within your heart through prayer to feel his love in your life. Stay strong friend, and dont be discouraged if you feel ackward as you pray. Just keep trying and you will learn.

When I was 19 I came upon a serious car crash. A light sky blue Cadillac model 300 sedan blew past me on the road going about 180 miles an hour. Barely missed me. But it hit a Toyota van with a little 5 year old girl, an 8 year old boy, and a beautiful young single mother. Killed the kids instantly. I'm emt trained. Grabbed my trauma bag and ran to help the mom. She had a large laceration on the right side of her throat, right into her jugular vein. I had quick clot, that blood clot gauze to stop the bleeding. I couldn't save her... she died in my arms. The last words the asked me were "are my kids okay". I lied to her and told her yes. I don't know what to do. I don't sleep. I don't eat. I can't forgive myself. She died in my arms. I don't know what to do.... I needed this.

My brother and or sister in Christ. I won’t dilly dally with small talk. I’ll get right to the point. There are probably a number of reasons why you are watching this video. Perhaps you seek wisdom from an old soul such as myself. Perhaps you are in a position in your life where you feel scared and lost. Uncertain of what to do next. Perhaps you have come here, as a final cry for help. As you can tell from the title, I am here to give you life advice. Lessons I have learned throughout my time in the wastes. And the different trials and tribulations that I have endured and, most importantly, overcome. Making me who I am today. All of which have accumulated into the man you see before you. So, allow me to offer a shoulder to lean on, as support. An ear to listen to, for comfort. And a mouth to speak, for healing and wisdom. Now, my friend. My brother or sister in Christ. I have unfortunate news to share with you before I start. When it comes to life, there really is no “set rules” on how to go about doing things. You can ask one hundred people how to live life, and not one will give you the same answer. In that revelation, you might find anxiety and uncertainty. I say, one can find beauty in that. The answer to our lives can be whatever we want. There are no set parameters on how to live life. But you can certainly try to live the best life that “you” think you can. That may not be a comforting answer, But it is okay. I am here to offer assistance in the best way I can. Scripture, and emotional support. I understand that life right now is extremely uncertain and nerve racking for you. Maybe you aren’t doing well financially and are struggling to get by. Perhaps a major life event has derailed your original plans of life. Maybe you have just graduated college and are unsure of what to do next. Believe it or not, I have faced similar struggles but in different venues. But, I found my piece in a few mantras and verses. Here’s the first piece of advice I will give you. In times of struggle, anxiety and chaos, remember that you, and only you, are responsible for your own well-being and happiness. The wasteland is a scary, dark and negative place. But that doesn't mean “your” wasteland needs to be a scary, dark and negative place. In moments of high anxiety, grounding yourself in God’s beauty that is nature helps the best. Try the 4 by 4 by 4 method of breathing. And identifying sights, smells, sounds, and tastes in your area. This will bring you back to reality and soothe your anxiety. It has helped me from time to time as well. But, even with your new found peace. You may be scared of what to do. Or scared to try to do something new. Trying something and the fear of failure may drive you to the point of not trying at all. In my eyes, failure is the best teacher. I think the best method of thinking about failure and trying new things is that “Mistakes are proof of trying.” It is better to have tried and failed than to have never tried at all. And remember, The Lord walks with you in all ventures of life. No matter how big or small they may be. Perhaps you are still not convinced that life was meant for you. The pain you feel inside outweighs the drive to move forward and the will to continue on with life. May I pose a question to you, friend? When God creates things, whether it be an animal, or a human, he makes them in his image. When God created you, he had an image for you. God doesn’t create things for the sake of creation. He creates things with purpose. And God gave you your life because he knew you would be strong enough to live it. But despite this, there will still be pain. Emotional pain, spiritual pain, and physical pain. Pain is the best teacher, but that is all pain has to be. Whatever else that comes with pain is added from you. Pain is growth, but suffering is optional. In these troubling times, I often turn to scripture. I understand the world is in chaos. Whenever I get caught up in the troubles and woes of the world, Psalm 27, verses 13 and 14 say that “I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living! In everything, even in darkness, God’s beauty is there. And God is always with you, wherever you may be. No matter where you may be. Life is a complicated thing my friend. It can be scary, it can be terrifying, and it can be crushing, but like all things, both good and bad, nothing lasts forever. And those moments will pass. As do all things in life. I am sorry if I am not helping. I know that everyone had a different view on life, but I hope the words I have shared give you hope. Allow me to share with you a story. When I was covered in tar and pitch, and set ablaze while nailed to a cross much like our lord and savior. As I was casted down from the cliffs of the Grand Canyon, betrayed by my once thought friend Caesar and his legion. I thought that God had forsaken me. That the end of the line was here. Death would soon engulf me in his embrace. But the fire that burned inside me, the fire that God had instilled in me, the fire that burned brighter than the fire around me, kept me alive, and death had no power over me. I may be covered in bandages, but I was baptized in fire that night, and born again into the man I would become through the roads I walked. Helping the tribes of the canyon. My time with The Courier. And my adventures doing the lord's work. All of it was part of “My Life.” And I hope that one day, you may find peace in your life, and begin to live life the way you want to. Before I go, allow me to say a prayer for you. Hold my hand, brother or sister. Close your eyes, and let us pray. “Heavenly father, I thank you for bringing this friend, this humble child of your light into my company today. Allowing me to share the joys and wonders of life that I have experienced with many I have met. Lord, I can see the pain in their eyes, and the restlessness in their soul. They yearn for peace my lord. I pray that on this day, you lift up their anxieties and troubles, and allow this person to give their struggles to you lord. Allow them to be happy, and whatever may come their way, whatever may happen, let it happen in a way they can manage lord. Tonight, let them rest in peace and prepare for the challenges ahead. Give them the strength to do what they thought impossible, the courage to change the things they can, the serenity to accept the things they cannot change, the wisdom to know the difference, and most of all lord, allow them to be accepted into your light.
