@bufalonungotu Don't even be like that this cover is great! You don't have to sing it like the original! There is no rules to how you can cover a song and I think this guy absolutely nailed it! Really made it their own, the guitar/tone was great, the vocals were great and the emotion was believable and those bells put such a nice touch to it as well. No, no, no!!! The whole point of green grass by Tom is subtlety, resignation (making peace with fate), simplicity made powerful by its humbleness. A sweet whisper from the depths of the soul, the certainty of a life/love lived to the fullest, to the last drop. You don't listen to it, you breath it. But this cover here, it's Mexican melodrama, preaching, imposing theatrics, the passion of Christ on steroids if you like. Pity, such a beautiful voice, yet such a waste!
