Shalom again Frank, It is true that the Hebrew ish for man includes esh fire. We’ve heard rabbis refer to man as “the great fire”, and woman as “the little fire.” Hebrews 12:29 and Deut. 4:24 reminds us that our God is a consuming fire. A part of that fire may be linked to the Holy Spirit. John foretold that when Yeshua came, we would be baptized in the Holy Spirit and fire (Matthew 3:11). It appears, just as with our original glorified bodies, that upon taking on the sin nature, man lost that glory, that communion with God through the fire of the Ruach Ha’Kodesh. After Pentecost, we can receive that indwelling and fire once again! Remember, the fire purifies and refines us; it burns away the chaff so that only the refined gold is left (1 Corinthians 3:11-15). Fire gives us authority and power over the enemy. Cherubim guarded the garden of Eden with flaming swords. Isaiah’s tongue was purified with a fiery coal. It seems we all need this fire from God that will not physically harm us, but radically changes our lives for the better! Shana tova!! Joshua and Caleb
