Perlereino was an awful hit. As you already saw earlier, Tear is a very popular deck which equals a very fun deck to a lot of people. It was not a deck that needed to be hit but it was hit anyways and is just too many hits on the deck.

I understand why they wanna hit it because it was topping worlds twice in a row and despite all the hits was a VERY popular deck. But the field spell hit just does NOT feel good at all. Wish they undo that. And give us merli back too

The context of the hit was the release of lightsworn support and the popularity of the lightsworn tear ftk which by all means was among this year's lowpoints, even if it was short. Despite that, perlereino hit tastes bad in the mouth, its also missing from mannadium since

@@Pincsi01 That was not why the card was hit and does nothing to stop that FTK. It was hit because too many people continue to play Tear and that hurts new card sales. The only thing hitting the field spell does to the actual FTK deck is mildly hurt the consistency. If they wanted to hit that deck, they would hit the cards that are part of the combo. They could easily ban Aero Shark to stop the combo entirely and people would be happy because the card is virtually irrelevant outside of said combo. Instead they banned a card FAR more relevant to the people who actually play Tear.
