Spent a couple days exploring Joshua Tree National Park over Labor Day weekend. Temps were above 100 every day, but we still had a great time hiking and checking out some of the local wildlife. Check out our short 2 day itinerary (perfect for a quick weekend trip) below!
Day 0: Arrive to Hidden Valley campsite at night and spend both our nights camping there ($15/night, cash). Make sure to bring tons of water as no running water at this campsite. Also need to pay a $30/vehicle national park fee, credit accepted
Day 1: Barker Dam Nature Trail (1.8 mile, easy), Wall Street Mill Trail (2.4 mile, easy), Geology Tour Road (18 mile 4x4 trail), Pine City Trail (4.1 mile, moderate), checked out Jumbo Rocks campsite
Day 2: Watch sunrise from Hidden Valley Picnic Area (try and find the dino skull), Ryan Ranch (1.5 mile, easy), Ryan Mountain Trail (3 mile, moderate)
