I agree Greg. I try to make it work in the winter. I layer up using my Alaska knowledge from my time in the Army. For my outer pants layer, I use my Husqvarna chainsaw pants. They work very well with cold and wind. For gloves, I use small knit style glove liners, then big bulky Arctic style pullovers. I can work the switches just fine. This is all done on a bike with no fairing, no close-outs, no windshield, and no handguards. Ultimately though, layering up just sucks and I can't wait for Spring riding to begin!! I love these adventure-styled big production videos, Matt!

I met Jeff on the road. He was very eccentric on his thoughts and review plan with this bike. He bought me a bag of lays Potatoe chips and a soft drink and explained that he really likes this bike even know it is rough around the edges as he said. He then explained how functionally this bike was. He said he loves the v-twin and tracks with a real purpose. he liked using the massive Lucious horsepower and justified the speeding tickets he obtained from this review. He was thinking of ditching the cops but decided it may not be the best idea. This bike has the best of the best tolls for safety and reliability. I can keep going if you would like. The pan America is an eager bike that likes to hang out on fire roads and such. It also is very confident and can brake on a dime. It works beautifully and stable. Have a nice day. Thanks jeff.Oh jeff had to hang his legs in a safe place as he explains in the video

What I’m talking about. With more roads across this great country under construction and at any given moment you might need to “detour”, might be out of traffic down some area off the highway onto a frontage or side road, wherever. These bikes are built to handle. Durable to navigate rough terrain while being super smooth on the super slab. All while looking cool. Adventure bikes have long been the Swiss Army knife of motorcycles just getting more attention these days for their inherent versatility. Great job crew. Matt put some hair somewhere on that face. Corporate does allow it. Ride safe and ride often. Peace.

Very entertaining video, great scenery, great story. I really praise Harley Davidson for putting a bike in the market that competes with or even exceeds the competitions bike. In looks, performance and specifications. My choice for such trips though would not be a much too heavy 1000cc plus adventure bike of any brand. I'd like a much lighter more off road capable 1 or 2 cylinder 4 stroke bike. No panniers everything carried in an assistance vehicle. At the end of the day I would be tired from riding difficult but entertaining terrain, not from handling a heavy bike. The joy should not be from the excitement you managed to get there, but how you get there. Back in the day I road a new Yamaha XT600 Ténéré, 1 cylinder 600cc with a large fuel tank. Put on motocross tires. And rode it off road and street. The future of adventure riding should be a 1000-1200cc 1 or 2 cylinder very off road capable bike. 150bhp/150Nm, 200kg ready to go. All the camping gear carried by a drone that is linked to your bike. Today I am riding a 2019 Fat Boy (strictly on road).

By Indian standarts (I mean "in India" 🇮🇳) that "off-road" is closer to a highway. I think those guys would smash y'all on 300cc Bajaj's And R.Enfields wearing slip-ons. That being said I really love your travel series of videos and genuinely think that you're amazing CEO.

Are the hard case panniers /mounting racks from Harley? Or another brand?

You think this can be done on a lowrider st? I have off road experience with dirt bikes.

Would love to see a real ATB trek, down through Mexico and Central America. You see these all the time on a BMW ATB, be cool to see if the PanAm can hold its own.

I’d like to do something like that. Hopefully in the future.

Matt, did Nick's airbag jacket deploy when he went down? He made a comment about the jacket saving his shoulder but I wasn't sure if he was referring to the airbag or his armored jacket that he wears over top of it? I have the same Alpinestar Tech Air 5 and was curious. Thanks. Great video.

I believe he disabled his air bag when we got off road. So, no, it didn't go off. He kept the air bag on because I think it has armor on it that he was still able to benefit from even with the bag off.

You guys have ridden Death Valley on your street bikes. Tons of dirts roads in Death Valley to explore on those adventure bikes.

Your grandmothers must have been pissed when you took their bikes and hit those really knarly tracks!
