For anyone wondering about the zone moving incident that chat mentions. It was a game where one player used a yubel deck. He summoned the yubel fusion to his right most zone, the opponent grabbed it to read it and placed it back into a different zone. He later tried to use anima to remove the fusion but the yubel player then noticed that it was in the wrong zone. Judges also agreed and they moved yubel to the zone which it was previously summoned in.

This is why my cousin is scared to go to a big konami event like this he has tourettes. The fact that a judge can give a bull crap decision like that and you are not allowed to appeal is terrible. Konami really needs to a better job of hiring more qualified managers for these big events. making the game more inclusive maybe having a 12 and under tournaments is a must have to. Given how complex the game has gotten. Or tournaments where players have someone helping them read cards and reminding them what certain cards do and how to play them. My brother plays the game he cant read and has learning disabilities. He knows the most basic stuff like tribute for stars more than four. Only one normal summon per turn and fusion summon with cars like polymerization. But he requires someone to read for him and reminded him of what his own cards do and the proper way to use them. At ots and even bigger places like ycs it is forbidden for extra assistance. for a game this big that is 25 years old after this long it shocks me the game is still not inclusive enough. The constant rarity bumps and all this other crap konami does and as someone who stopped in 2015 and just returned this year it is still so funny seeing stuff like this with this tier 0 format knowing konami will never change.

It's even funnier considering where this game came from - The original idea for Yugioh was a much darker, much more mature and edgy gambling style manga that happened to feature duel monsters as a one off game they played similar to magic. It spun off from there and was centered completely around that and had a TCG made to go with it. If you watch the Japanese version of DM era Yugioh, it still keeps a lot of these darker, edgier themes and mature content. FFS, SEVERAL characters pull guns on people. If it weren't for 4kid's terrible localization (iconic as the dub cast is), it would NEVER have been something "meant for children". They literally only did that to try and sell toys and cards lmao

Not only is it petty, the issue is it creates a precedent and expectation and poor sentiment overall. If people like this rule, but then abuse the enforcement of the rule, other people are going to ask to get it dismantled. Just like with some cards that are technically legal but there's almost like a gentlement's agreement amongst players that we won't stoop to that level because we like playing the game to some degree. But there's always somebody that's gotta ruin the party.
