I mean, if the room isn’t opening counters against you and you are playing an “ignorant” deck that you can play blindfolded, you should top unless you’re unlucky.
@Ironpecker Жыл бұрын
I think that Trif's biggest strength is that he builds decks in ways that aren't the standard, and he thrives in format where combo decks are strong and he has a lot of wiggle room in his decklist to adjust it with peculiar choices that work for him (like tons of extenders/starters, board breakers etc). Honestly being so mindful of your own strengths and playstyles you excel at is a kinda underrated skill, a lot of people try to optimize a decklist in a vacuum (which isn't a bad approach) but being able to fine tune a decklist to your playstyle needs while taking into account the meta is really impressive.

All I know how to do anymore is activate engage, it's been so long. I don't know what yugioh is anymore. The other day, I activated RotA and tried to draw another card after I searched. Everything has become sky striker to me. There are no other spells, no monsters other than Raye. The only trap i know how to activate is impermanence. Occasionally I negate something in its column, and I cry a little. I attack for game but wish I was being gamed instead. It's become a joke of sorts, or maybe it's just my life. I can't go anywhere without seeing strikers. I went to feed my dog the other night, but instead of eating she summoned a 1500/1500 token. I had to put her down. I sit in the corner now counting down the days, the days where we shall see sweet release from this torment, the day when link summoning was about multiple monsters having a special bond and creating something beautiful. Those days are long gone. I have seen God, and I have seen the devil, but they are one and the same. I stared into the abyss and screamed, and it screamed back: "kagari add engage"

So i was there when it happened and i vaguely remembered how he played that game 3... he was under dweller the whole time and avoided playing the balls and started pick-pocketing the board/interruptions. he had samsara and both hearts/field spells in hand to pull it off. he just kept making plays which i don't remember unfortunately but i do remember he was played into super poly from the scareclaw field spell but kept playing. he had enough materials in grave to contact into astraloud (he popped one of the monsters to gain atk) and enough link materials on board to make a 4300atk accesscode talker which was able to pop 2 or 3 more cards (again i don't remember) because he had enough link monsters with different elements in the graveyard and still had the visas and heart monster in the gy to make another astraloud which pop JK's last monster and gain the atk by then proceeded to go into battle phase and go berserk. tear player was gassed out by that point.
