All the ads in MIUI can simply be toggled off in the settings. It's a small compromise for getting such a good device for such a low price compared to other Snapdragon 865 phones with a full screen display

Thanks for the objective review. This was one of the reviews I watched when deciding to buy the international version for use here in the US. I did some research and thankfully it supports a number of AT&T bands such that it can be used here. I bought the phone and agree with pretty much everything you say. A lot of the nuisance bloat/behavior can be easily uninstalled/disabled, but this does take some research. One thing you didn't mention is the aggressive battery saver behavior that also requires some tweaks to get the most out of widgets. As far as the lack of wireless, I added a USB-C wireless receiver pad and voila, I have wireless charging. Hopefully, this phone will be getting Android 11 soon and I'll be good for the next couple of years.

I noticed with my old Huawei that it always auto-adjusts brightness when I move around in the frame which is annoying. Well I wanted to have a 90Hz refresh rate phone so I got one..... And I dont see the difference. It must be actually me that is the reason not to see it but I just dont feel the difference so I just keep it at 60Hz for better battery life which I can feel in everyday use. So for everyone who think about having this phone - dont let the normal refresh rate full you, I think this is a great phone!

@@ronitraj106 If you scroll a lot, it will be better, but good to know, that YT videos are at max 60fps, and video games also at 60, so we can say that 90Hz is just a marketing feature..

@@ronitraj106 if you look really closely you will see that 90 Hz is just a tiny pinch smoother, but does it really matter if you dont pay really careful attention to it - I would say no. I dont have this particular phone but I can bet that the speed of the processing will make much more difference then 90Hz screen. So again - in a day to day usage 90 or probably even 120 Hz is no more than a gimmick.

Only concern when looking for a phone was price and the SD865 for gaming. Mine is definitely being underused in terms of features. Still, I love this phone, and it's good to see what its weak points are (to go with the strong points). Thanks! :)

Stop complaining about refresh rate. Other companies hive high refresh rate on LCD screens. I prefer mailed even if it's 60Hz. No other company gives high refresh rate amoled in this price. Oneplus costs hundreds dollars more

For the price that Xiaomi are charging for the 'Poco F2 Pro' in Europe, the 'Zoom Edition' is what we should be getting, not the standard edition. It was bad enough trying (and failing) to get a 'Mi 9T Pro' anywhere in Europe, never mind at a decent price. At this price (more for the 256gb version) I'm probably going to look elsewhere for a new phone.
