when people say he cried too much.. it just angers me because his emotion comes from deep inside him and everything he's been through. you can tell hes not doing it for sympathy but because he doesn't wanna let himself down. at that point, singing was all he had, it probably killed him to know his dream came to an end before he could show the world just how amazingly talented he is. if you listen to his music now, you can hear the emotion and pureness in his voice. its beautiful. hes beautiful. Josiah, keep on going.

Failing on idol is not the end of the road for this kid. After hearing his originals I am certain he is destined for stardom. He is a highly emotional character and that comes across in every song he performs. I think over the coming year he will make a mockery of the idol judges and be world famous

I think the judges were out of their minds when they passed on him. He was a lot better than most of the other guys. What is the matter that he cries? He is such a sensitive person and he has been through alot. I think he should have been given a chance.

@crazymoira I opened for him one night on Ukulele, He did a free show where the local morriston musicians play and I was one of the lucky ones that got to play infront of him. It was such an honor! (plus it's awesome cause he's from my home town too haha)

As young as some of these people are, and as vulnerable as they are, it does take guts to get up there and show what you've got. It's true, he should be stronger, but it's all a learning process. It's pretty ignorant to make fun of his emotionality.

To all these ppl talking about his accent, I dated a guy from Tennessee and their accents are so thick in some parts of Tenn that they do sound British. As for the copying insults, he sang an original song in his first audition so it's obvious from the get go he can sing more than British artists. Stand By Me is by Ben E. King, not a British dude. He's a songwriter, a quite good one at that. If it's not your cup of tea that's fine. Music is subjective, but let's do some fact checking and a bit objective analysis. I don't personally care for country music, but I can recognize and appreciate talent, musicianship, and songwriting ability.

So saying that the competition is way too seriouse for a guy his age is just saying that there was no point for David Archuleta to have been trying out the A.I . I'm a fan of his b/c i can relate to him on many levels especially with music. I'm glad he didn't pass on and more so win b/c let's face the facts. Sure, that's exactly what I'm saying. It all takes guts to possibly make a fool of yourself on a national broadcast. In that regard, it's hard to make fun of someone who does show what they've got. Some people deal with emotional damage differently than others, that's all.

Man I liked his version. That performance had actual spunk. Of course Randy and Simon wouldn't know considering all they do is make money off judging people, and Paula lost her career back in the 80s. They all sold their souls and then talked down to this guy like he's garbage. I'm glad they did this cause otherwise he wouldn't be where he is now.
