The L mode on the transmission dial is for the hybrid system to engage a sort of one pedal mode. It will brake on the electric motor when you let off the accelerator pedal. Love the video, can't wait to get my hands on mine.

My Car Dealer told me it is meant to be used when going downhill or with a caravan, its sort of low range mode for the gearbox. Its not meant for daily driving as sometimes (when the battery is too full to recuperate) it also connects the (still cold) engine to slow it down more effectively... Although i have the Phev version maybe that makes a difference idk

@@unknownuser7026 So you are not wrong, it depends on what version of the Kuga you are talking about. I ordered a PHEV and that is the only version available in the Netherlands, where I live. But in the PHEV version the function is: "The "L" in the PHEV increases the regeneration (and thus engine braking). If you battery is full it will also do proper engine braking as well. If you use it when the battery is not full, you can have a bit of one-pedal operation."

At first glance, I think they've adapted the 2017 onwards model styling (for the bonnet/front grill, etc), and I much prefer it to the Kuga that came in between those two. It's looking 'mean' again.

I’ve had 2 of these cars a 20 plate Diesel MHEV and the PHEV on a 22 plate I’m glad I’m rid of them countless call back metallic grinding noise from engine when cold 2 new batteries 2 new tailgate lights due to water and condensation. Automatic boot module replaced continuous intermittent faults coming up on screen. Car even wanted to park itself while driving 70miles an hour on motorway. I’ve swapped now for the incredibly difficult to source grand tourneo connect in diesel no hybrid no wet belts as it has the golf engine and drive train vehicle built by VW in Poland . I’ve had fords all my life and can say that the VW is definitely a better quality build.stacks of room and much more comfortable on a long journey no stiffness or bum ache. It may not look as nice as the kuga but far more practical and sensible

I have a 2019 St Line X i like some of the things for the new Kuga but seems they have reduced the quality, the Rear camera is massive, rear indicators are to small, the rear interior lights look cheap, Front looks Nice, Rear is ok, but the side profile doesn't look as good. MK2.5 with the New dash, maybe a little longer with the movable rear seats would be a nice combination esp if it has a 2.0 version. USB sockets in the storage between the front seats would be nice to hide cables / usb drive etc. USB socket next to the rear view mirror for dash cams would be good or inbuilt one with the already fitted cameras. Faster responsive screen. No excuse with today's computing power.

too bad that they removed the noise cancellation tech that was present in the vignale trim, that was the first reason why I've picked up a Q3 phev over this new Kuga, and also the lack of matrix LEDs in my country :)
