Beautiful song. So happy for this elective class at my school. I thought I've heard all beautiful things already

Très belle interprétation, bien équilibrée, de ce chef-d'œuvre incomparable de Josquin.

please help me, I really would like to know what exact technique the tenors use to hit their highest notes. is it falsetto or mix/head voice or belted chest voice, I am trying to learn it and cant seem to get it correct especially those lines with Ab and G
@wattson2008 Жыл бұрын
Hi! Tenor here. For me, a 1st Tenor, I use a mix of my head/chest voice. It may be different for others, but it's what I find easier for myself. Whatever is more comfortable on your voice works!

Quality of the voices is comparable to the Tallis Scholars. Kudos, and keep that slight rebato under control. On a side note, was this transposed upwards?
@dancollison14 жыл бұрын
Help; I couldn't find a definition for rebato. Is rebato a type of rubato?
@dancollison14 жыл бұрын
Maybe rebato is a slight rubato?
@el72844 жыл бұрын
@@dancollison1 I think I meant to type rubato but was corrected rebato.

Yeah, I noticed that many recordings transpose from C to E-flat.

In my senior year in the School of Music I selected this piece to dissect, take apart, and put back together... to research Josquin's earlier works and what came after. I hereby give your vocal group an A+ on the performance of this very, very difficult piece. IMHO, Josquin is second only to Mozart. Oh BTW I got an A on my thesis.
