Outstanding ! It is music like this which redeems the human soul from the tortured insanity of the modern age, and lends a sense of transcendence. Thank you for this.

This performance stopped me in my tracks. Byrd's great lament always reduces me to tears but I thought this quite exceptional with just the right balance of tonal purity and emotional power. Evidence if er needed of of Byrd's technical mastery. Surely the greatest composer of his age,

Absolutely breathtaking! The lyrics and harmonies are amazing! Quite different now because of COVID-19 pandemic of 2020 singing in a virtual choir or singing with masks and physical distancing.

Siglo de Oro thank you for the answer, I looked out where and when, Your concert is in a very beautiful and cute chapel, the organisation has planned two performance sessions, you know when in the afternoon? I’ll be there and I’ll make publicity in my choir,, what a fantastic news,

That's great news! I think it will be around 1600, but I'm not sure it's confirmed yet. We'll look forward to meeting you there though. Thank you for spreading the news to your choir!

I meant the arrangement of the individual parts. It isn't SSAATTBB but an almost random mix
@pjie24 жыл бұрын
@@el7284 Choirs sometimes sing "scrambled" to improve communication between the parts as it means you have close neighbours from as many of the other parts as possible. However, you do lose a lot of the spatial structure of the piece (call/response sections etc) if you do that.

@@pjie2 oh thank you so much. I was losing my mind trying to find the meaning behind the arrangement.
