I recommend mixing the moss with the substrate to help reduce impaction 💕 it's just some stuff I've learned from owning frogs for a year.

For sure. The isopod are one of the most important part. So I would do alot of research on those first then try to find some captive bred frogs. The imports don't do so well.

hey!! from what ive heard abt humidity in the tank, i keep mine at around 60-75% and have heard that keeping it too humid could cause foot rot/other problems for them. but i havent had any issues so far with what i keep it at 👍

Good video, you explain well. I am always wandering if my frogs is enough fed. How do you feed them ?
@JosuesExotics

I normally just put some crickets in the enclosure and let them find them. It’s hard to catch them feeding for me anyways .

@JosuesExotics
@JosuesExotics Жыл бұрын
I would recommend keeping them in a dark place place at your house and change their light schedule around to come on when your sleeping so that way their more active during the daylight hours!

Great vid! Do you know if I have to make a bio active setup? Cause I’m looking into getting this species and I don’t really have any experience in bio active setups. 🐸
@JosuesExotics
@JosuesExotics 2 жыл бұрын
A lot of people like to do use paper towels and stuff for a quarantine tank. But personally the bio active setups hold humidity really well. I would check it out. There’s simpler ways than doing it this way!

Do you cycle out lights or just stick to one? Do you need to have it on at all times for the plants as well?
@JosuesExotics
@JosuesExotics 2 жыл бұрын
I only use light for around 12 hours to try to simulate an natural day. But your supposed to change the lights out every 6 months because they lose the amount of uvb they can produce over time.

Do you know if they can be kept in a mesh enclosure? I have one from when I had my chameleon and I don't want it to go to waste.
@JosuesExotics
@JosuesExotics 2 жыл бұрын
I would recommend using something more like a glass enclosure to use some live plants to help with humidity. But you could probably make something work with the chameleon cage though.

How do you feed the frogs. I have seen both just letting a few crickets loose in the enclosure and I have seen others direct feed the frogs. Which is the best method?
@JosuesExotics

I feed them ever 3 or 4 days to be honest. But the main difference is size. The adults are may 3 to 4 in? I'll have to check.
