By the way, the thing with the plants worked because in the manga Okuyasu just does it one time and gets hit, but the anime decided to extend the fight a bit to make him seem like a bigger threat

Stands are the perfect solution to anime power creep, instead if just getting more powerful each stand works in extremely specific ways, turning each fight into a mindgame sometimes planned months in advamce

Time stop>time skip. As soon as they lose track of the skipping user, they stop, see the skipper stood behind them like a clown and just donut them Kakyoin style. And in character specific terms, The Boss can never win against Dio. Even if he lands a blow after skip it would never even have a chance to kill Dio due to his insane regenerative capabilities.

@Theamz and you're telling me The World, with speed and precision to rival Star Platinum, can't just counterattack Diavolo when he tries to attack him after the skip? Even if he at least blocks it or prevents the killing blow, Dio will regenerate and The Boss/King Crimson will be left in close range of the stand tied for the highest strength and (conventional) speed in the series, against which he has no chance.

@@Theamz Dude, The World is definitely stronger than King Crimson. Epitaph works in a way that Diavolo can only see the future 10 seconds from his perspective through his own eyes through the bangs of his hair. That's why you always see the future playing through the bangs of his hair in the anime. This is also why during his first encounter with Bucciarati, Bucciarati managed to escape Diavolo by punching behind Diavolo. Diavolo only saw future of the punch missing him instead of Bucciarati hitting him or escaping and so he didn't bother to dodge or do anything about it. If Dio decides to use The World and move to Diavolo's back, he won't be able to see anything. Also, Dio can interact with everything around him within stopped time, meaning that he can attack Diavolo within stopped time. Dio did this when punching a hole through Kakyoin. King Crimson's Time Delete however doesn't allow him to interact with the things around him, because the Time for the things around are technically speaking still flowing normally. King Crimson was merely looking ahead in time, positioning himself in a favourable position and then deleting the parts of time that he didn't want to achieve a favourable result. That's why Diavolo always has to end the Time Delete by positioning himself as close to the opponent as possible before he can finish them off. For instance, the scene you saw where the cleaning lady entered the room to see Diavolo while he used his Stand to run away? That wasn't him skipping time. It was him finishing packing everything within 10 seconds and then deleting those 10 seconds of the time away. The cleaning lady merely cannot remember what happened within that 10 seconds of time that was deleted away. So you are wrong to say that King Crimson is a better version of The World. It is more accurate to say that King Crimson is a close but lesser copy of The World.

The Hand is a Stand similar to Vanilla Ice's Cream, the Stand that killed Avdol and Iggy. They delete/disintegrate stuff. The sound effect you hear when The Hand is deleting the space between him and Josuke is the same sound effect when Vanilla Ice was deleting stuff.
