This is the game which has made me really believe Slot is a genius. Most managers would have sent on a defender for an attacker. Slot just moved an attacking midfielder cum holding midfielder into defence and made a centre half a wing back! The movement of the players once they adjusted was immense. They were having to cover some much more ground but it was Fulham who were outplayed. Both their goals were deflections. This will make rival managers really sit up and take notice. How many teams are as good with 10? Slot's tactics nullified Fulhams because you'd expect a team to use the flanks. In the end, they got down our right because Trent went to sleep and that didn't escape Slot's attention as he hauled him off shortly after. Gravenberch and Gomez were immense.

@@Scottish1996 Aye, but if Gravenberch doesn't do what he does so well, Salah doesn't get his chance to shine. Aside from his assist for Cody's diving header, Salah was pretty quiet today. The work-rate of Gravenberch, Szoboszlai and Curtis Jones was the driving force today, and they covered every blade of grass fighting for the jersey, which cannot be said for a certain Mr Alexander-Arnold. If Trent is working that hard when the team is down to 10 men and fighting to win, you have to question his commitment. Bad defending is one thing, but not trying hard enough? That’s not acceptable. If he’s already thinking about leaving for Madrid in the summer, maybe it’s better he goes. Robertson seems past his best. It’s hard to admit, especially after all he’s done, but his recent performances show he’s declining. Once that starts, it’s tough to turn around. Maybe his agent should start looking for new opportunities because it doesn’t look like he’ll get back to his top form. Quansah is still young, but time moves fast at this level. He hasn’t looked confident whenever he’s played this season. The tough game at Old Trafford might have shaken him, but he needs to recover quickly. That’s what it takes to succeed at a big club. Salah is still incredible. He’s playing like he’s in a Ballon d’Or season but isn’t getting enough support from the rest of the team. Jota, though, has been a real bright spot and deserves all the backing he can get. The result was disappointing, yes, but the performance was inspiring. Playing with 10 men, coming from behind twice, and nearly winning showed real heart & fight. Sometimes, the result doesn’t show the whole story, & this was one of those times for Liverpool.

Just going to say about the picture Alice has up while talking about Jota around the 11 to 12 minute marks, the look on Nunez's face celebrating the goal with Jota is nice to see. That's a teammate. Even though he's a striker who is off to a slow tough start this season and could use some goals himself, it's good to see him that fired up celebrating his mate's match tying goal. Some who are struggling with their goal scoring form might not be that enthusiastic and may even sulk a bit. Nunez is clearly stoked and pumped in that pic. And he continues to work hard on the pitch. He just needs to relax a bit around goal and trust his instincts.

Well done to you for being HONEST in your assessment! Put the shoe on the other foot for a minute. Imagine Fulham had 10 men for 80 odd minutes, the pundits would be RAVING about a colossal performance with 10 men against 11, and they were STILL the better team. They got the better of all the stats and Liverpool hung on at the end as Fulham with 10 men fought like warriors, mentality monsters. They'd be saying "Liverpool were so poor to have an extra man and not control the game, it's worrying that thet were outplayed by a 10 man Fulham." Yeah, if you think about it that way, you realise just how biased the media is against Liverpool! They're literally giving Fulham props for hanging in there and JUST escaping with a point against a Liverpool who dominated the game with 10 men😂 the narrative is so badly disingenuous that it's embarrassing. Anyway, good on you for seeing it AS IT IS! P*ssing me off how badly these pundits discredit Liverpool. Phenomenal performance to dominate like that with a man sent off! That should be the story!

Even for that 2nd goal, I'd blame quansah... he just wasn't physical and was passive in marking his man

I'm proud of the lads. It was like 10 against 12, if you count the ref... YNWA.

Agree with almost everything you said. Fulham were very lucky not to have at least one player sent off. Their 2nd goal was a bit lucky . Liverpool never gave up; they dominated midfield and had the better chances. They did very well to come back twice and could have won.

I'm happy enough for the draw given we were down to 10.

With Fulham playing with both backup CB this is an amazing effort! Robinson may be the best LB in the world, shutting down Saka and Mo in the same week..
