This fight is one of the greatest, there's a reason its so iconic beyond just Jotaro fighting the big bad. Not only is Dio incredibly terrifying and powerful, but due to being a returning shonen villain he, unlike others in the genre, knows all about how bullshit shonen heroes can be so he's not gonna just jump in without a plan or just assume he'll win by being powerful. This is not only an andrenaline filled battle, it's also INCREDIBLY cerebral with BOTH sides of the fight coming up with strategies and counter strategies to land a single hit. So we see Jotaro coming up with ploys to bring Dio closer to him while trying (and failing) to avoid collatarel damage, we also get stuff like Dio trying to make ABSLUTELY sure Jotaro's did so he can't pull the same bullshit Jonathon did that got him beheaded in the first place and is STILL willing to behead Jotaro even when he's 100% sure he's dead JUST to be ABSOLUTELY sure. Basically, the fight isn't JUST two really strong dude's punching each other really really hard. It's two really strong dudes really trying to assess the other man and try to come up with clever ways to get themselves in the right position and timing TO punch each other really really hard. Also you gotta imagine how much more terrifying Dio's timestop ability is from outside his perspective, where he's just suddenly teleporting everywhere and suddenly everything'ss completely different and you don't know WHY. The fight with D'arby is my overall fave just because its more unique, but THIS fight is still legendary.

11:27 I like that dio is basically a cat, he was afraid of Danny, every time he suspects someone is up to something wants to get distance it happened when Jonathan threw the decoy Roses at him and he froze them up just in case, after he shot a laser through Jonathan's throat he saw him assuming a weird stance and he was like "Wang-chung stay the fuck away from that man" (but Wang didn't) and multiple times through this fight and this time the only thing he could have done to be more cat like is to hiss

People slander part 3 a lot, but i argue it has the strongest final fight in the series. The only one on par for me is the final fight of part 6 which i will not spoil. The ost, the voice acting of Ono Daisuke and Takehito Koyasu, the magnet trick, Jotaro going through the absolute means just to pretend to be dead, the goddamn roadroller, the iconic "Oh you're approaching me?" scene, DIO's random ass metaphors, and everything else made this fight SO PERFECT. Hate part 3 all you want, but you can't deny how great and iconic DIO vs Jotaro is

@@cobalt7678 I wouldn't say the Diavolo fight was bad, it's just not as good as the others. The other fights are just so good. Jonathan sacrificing himself to kill Dio, Joseph blowing Kars up to space on an erupting volcano, the Jotaro vs DIO fight, and the Morioh gang vs Kira fight are all so good and have much more rewarding payoffs I think one of the reasons the Diavolo fight fell flat for me is because it felt like every other Jojo had to outsmart and outwit their opponent and not just overpower the villain with sheer strength. The main Jojo has always been weaker than their main villain yet they manage to trump them through wit and smart thinking. But with Giorno he just got an overpowered stand and defeated Diavolo through sheer OPness

@@wuttatota148 Yup you summed it up perfectly. Giorno just gets GER out of nowhere and defeats Diavolo easily. I like Jotaro vs Dio and Josuke vs Kira so much due to the tension, the protagonist having to outwit the villain, etc. Giorno just got stronger out of nowhere. That was so disappointing. At least for me.

revived myself before the finale drops, the book and knives are surprisingly the least "ass-pully" stuff in the show, Dio got punched into a store that has knives, Jotaro landed on a bookstore's sign and got the books off-screen, yet no one talks about the real asspull of manhole Jotaro smh (I don't really mind tho, just memeing)

(Just started to watch the video btw) 0:34 if my opinions on part 3 have been practically 1:1 to lyndsay so far that isn't necessarily going to stick for long There's a point where it goes down, not horribly down, but I think the run up towards the end is better than the end itself 17:57 and it was also established in early part 3 that dio has potentially the 3 joestar stands but with slight aesthetic differences, which is something that I like more than the bullet thing, that one feels like the fans ODing on copium to me, that or is just not good foreshadowing
