I started with 43 chains .. i completed crocheting half of the scarf and now i am confused that its wider 😢 I wish i could show you my scarf.. I should have started with 31 chains like u did 😢

Hmm, it's a one-row repeat and each row will have the same number of sts. Perhaps count your sts every few rows to ensure you have the correct number of sts in each row?

Yes, even if you start with a different number of starting chains, each row will have the same number of stitches since the pattern is a one row repeat :) I thought you meant that the middle of the scarf was wider than the start. Do you just mean that your scarf is wider than mine? If you made more starting chains at the start then yes, it would be wider :)
