Thats really pretty and gives me a head full of ideas... plus, ironically, I have the same pink corduroy fabric.. very similar. I like to use cigar boxes for some of my journals... and this video gave me plenty of ideas. Thanks very much.

I like the style of the journal - the actual shape of it, I mean. I was wondering why you had those two flaps on the back cover as they seemed unneeded, but then I realized (when I saw the book closed) that those flaps are meant to look like the pages of a book once the covers are closed. I also realized that those flaps could actually protect the pages inside from spills and such so, I would actually keep them! I've never done sewing on a journal, but that's something I want to do - I love the way the spine looks. The papers/colors aren't my exactly my style - even though I like gothic. They just seem very dark and somber to me, but I could totally see doing this journal in another style - maybe pastel gothic or something, so thanks for sharing. I have a goal to make some journals this year - I might add this one to the mix.

Hello, what a beautiful piece of art. I just wonder when I see and admire all these journals,, HOW do you use them? There are barely pages to write on. I like beautiful items, but I llike to use them too.

KEEP STILL Alexandra !!!! I'm getting dizzy watching you wave the journal around while you are showing it to us it is very distracting and difficult to view the video.

Your comment sounds quite aggressive, Jacky. Even if there was anything bothering you in my tutorial, you could find more polite ways to express your thoughts.

@@MyPaperEnvelope This was not a comment on your crafting skills - which are impressive - or the CONTENT of your journal, but on the FILMING of the video. Not agressive, not impolite. I speak my truth. When I see poor camera work, I comment because how else will the authors know what their videos look like - they are often so fixed on the content that they don't see shaky cameras / hands infront of the work / out of focus images / chat, chat, chat which has nothing to do with the subject / distracting music . . For me, the style of Nik the Booksmith or Vectoria Designs are examples of tutorials which not only show the process in a clear manner but also point out potential pitfalls on the way.
