From Texas. His voice still takes my breath away after all these years. I don’t know if most people realise this, but Arnel was almost 40 when he joined Journey. Now at 55 he is in his 15th year as lead singer. He has done an amazing job singing that beautiful Journey music plus all the solo stuff he does. Blessings always.

@@jwprimetime9795 crazy isn't it? Anybody singing the Journey catalog for 15 years shouldn't be able to still sing like that! I mean, we all thought that it'll only be a matter of time before he completely shreds his vocal cords. And for a while there we thought time has caught up with him. But it turns out that over the past few years, he has struggled to hear himself in the live mix, staying in pitch became an issue and it was happening more frequently. They switched sound engineers recently, short version is Arnel could hear himself again and is singing like his old self once more. Arnel also travels with a vocal mentor, how's that for keeping the chops sharp?

I am so glad the sound was cleared up so Arnel can hear himself now. Being able to hear makes a big difference in the performance. I guess he is smiling a lot now because of it according to an interview with Dean I read.

So glad to see Dean Castronovo back on drums , such a powerful drummer and backup singer , which in my opinion could sing lead if he wanted to. He has a good voice. And I’ve always loved to hear Arnel at the front of Journey. If we can’t have Steve Perry back , in my opinion , this is the next best thing. I miss Ross Valory in the lineup though. 👍👍👍✌️✌️✌️

I also saw Journey in 78 when Van Halen opened and BLEW THEM OFF THE STAGE. And I saw Toto on their FIRST tour 1979 maybe? so I know all about both. Toto was ALWAYS lame ass below avg. pop music and Journey was somewhat listenable and OK LIVE. But that STOPPED when THE VOICE was fired....period.

It was such a dramatic composition of instrumental melodic and rhythmic pieces of introduction before the first song of Arnel Pineda on this LIVE Concert-- --sort of a dramatic entrance !!! Journey musicians-->>>>you are truly iconic !!! AP vocals remain amazing after all these years of hectic and brutal Concert LIVE Tour !! He's incredible! Whether it be power ballad or rock music-- Arnel does wonderfully well-- on top of that, he commands the stage --which is very important in LIVE Performances !! HE is fantastically gifted.!~~ singing Journey songs that are hard to sing,-- singing higher notes, again and again, night after night on LIVE Contreats --and only in a minute interval each time- !! singing 18--20 songs or more depending on the list.. I am glad that if they have more than 20 songs--at least Journey has now Deen to sing (1 )song and Jason to sing (2-)-it gives AP a break. Very good idea to prolong the life of AP vocals for much longer !! Can't wait to see Journey's LIVE Concert in person again--SOON! ( before the summer sure !! ) ################ NOTE: Any line that may show on top of my comment is NOT my intention-- I still have a problem with my computer..

So glad Journey's still touring. Although the entire effort may be a testament to Perry's voice (the Perry/Schon/Cain gift to humanity that is the 80's Journey), Schon could not have picked a better front-man to fill the shoes that Perry himself can no longer fill. Arnel is the bomb! I wish they would have played two or three Arnel originals on the tour. He's got some great stuff that is as good as any Journey from any era. Check out "Someone" from Eclipse.

would love to see these guys. Neil schonn is such a great guitarist and manages to keep himself in check lol. Ya just know sometimes he would like to just burn up and down the fretboard, but all his solos are so tastefully done. Thats what makes him such a great guitarist. Ego takes a back seat to the music

Both bands sound amazing, despite having only one original member each. Lots of historical players in Journey, but with Toto it's just Steve and Joseph with new backing members. Again, sounding pretty great and worth seeing.

Joe Williams is not an original member. He was the third tenor after (Kimball, Fredericksen)Toto had from 1986_to 1988 rejoining in 2010.

I'm not a hater, but I miss Steve Perry on this Place. Toto with Williams on Lead voice is so much on the point like they've always been since early 80's - no suprise - they're all 1# Class professional musicians. Neal shone is so complicated of a player. All the years of journey and could not get into them with what I called ballads. Just not my thing. BUT when I recorded his Tribute to Ronnie Montrose some years back was shocked at what he was really like which was similar to when he was a kid in Santana with Carlos. Would of never not listened to him had that been his foot print in rock. Incredible playing...

Hello Echo_360 from Ohio. The fellas were coming to Ohio about now but wasn't going to make the show. This footage worked for me. You really did an above average, exceptional, pro grade job with this excellent experience. I mean, it's truly top notch. The visual aspect is flawless but even the sound is amazing. Don't know if it was Android or iPhone or something else, anyways, I DID get to go to the concert, because of this production. Thank you for your help. Neil and Steve are two of my all time favorite guitarist and they were BOTH in the zone. Both bands sounded great live. Nothing lasts forever. Just goes to show you just how good Steve Perry really is. Arnel is good. But you just can't replace a voice like Steve's. I saw a concert with Heart, Cheap Trick , and Journey as the headliners. Arnel had just joined up. It was good , BUT Heart and Ann Wilson stole the show. Robin Zander with Cheap trick was great too. Just goes to show you can't catch lightening in a bottle twice. Lived and partied through the 80's. Nothing like it up until then and there has been nothing like it since.
