Those were no doubt challenge times, for black Jamaicans especially, but if only the cleaneness and order shown in these photographs could be brought back to some of our public places and spaces. Maybe some of the relevant Authorities need to take a good look at the photos to how it was done in those days

Wow, love the time traveling looking back at Jamaica as it once was in the 1800's. Wow, things have really change from agriculture, architecture, landscape country, culture and people. However, only thing that have not changed and that is Black People always being poor.

I feel nostalgic for a life and time I obviously did not experience. Despite the hardship, Jamaica SEEMS to have been better under British colonial rule. Now it’s just dog eat dog.
