Having played thousands of games I can easily say that journey is one on the most underestimated games, the simple and beautiful visuals and the incredibly profound music fitting the game. This is one true masterpiece everyone should play once to make an idea what games can be!

Yeah. It absolutely wouldn’t have the same impact if it was a cutscene. It made me reflect on my choices. And in another interview he talks about the very end, when you walk into the light, and even that is a choice that the player makes. You decide how fast you move towards the light. So impactful.

When I reached the heaven gate with another traveler, we were trying to write something by walking on the sand in front of the final gate. And I believe we managed to communicate. That moment I don't feel alone.

Only last month I've came across with this beautiful game.. Never felt such feelings with any other game.. not even close.. it is pure masterpiece.. Life changing.. Out of this world and so realistic at the same time.. So touchy, mystical, so comforting while playing.. Welcoming and showing hospitality.. Words arent enough. Thanks to everyone who shared effort in realising it..

Played journey for the first time today and I really see the influence of Joseph Campell. the giant metal whales are called guardians as in Threshold Guardians. Before I watched this video I put the whole game in the Monomyth cycle without knowing that it actually was what they based the game on. Really surprised that I was doing the same thing a the game creators.

Be happy that there's at least this DICE conference where developers can share their ideas with others. Considering the success of Journey I'm sure more studios will realise that it's economically viable to make something in the same vein.

The symbolic examples "reflected" and that is a key word like in James Cameron's Avatar in relation to the Hero's Journey and in this case the lead charters quite literal "Transformation" , the angles the journey development team worked with are a very refreshing look at truly artistic story weaving that was something very unique on many levels ..

Did you even read what I just said?I want SONY to buy them to "FUND" their projects...I know they went multiplatform but multiplatform or exclusive, unless someone like SONY,MicroSoft,Nintendo or any other BIG publisher buys them and funds them they are still going to be the same small team and they are still going to make PSN/XBL games...that's what I want them,to be funded by someone big and since they've made their biggest games with SONY I want them to buy them!

Sony's Santa Monica Dev team helped with development. I love sony for their support for art with such great titles such as ICO, Shadows of the Colossus, Heavy Rain and so many other titles that they helped the development of. I know TGC did say that they are looking to put their future games on different consoles. Due to Sony's support where Microsoft and other publishers failed to show interest in. they may stick with Sony for a while. Its a shame you dont own a ps3. I love all consoles.

Unfortunately Journey is tied to the PlayStation system. Everything I've read points to it remaining there. I hope I am wrong, I have a lot of friends who don't own PS3's, who I really want to experience Journey, but probably the best bet is to play on a friends, or get a PS4 and hope Journey is made available on the store.

+Heartie Angel The mountain gives life to the planet, but the humanoid race exploits the living resources to build things, when the energy starts to run out they fight over it, killing them in the process and putting the civilization to rest. A lone adventurer appears, similar to the humanoids before it and the only draw is the mountain of life. The game is about the "Journey" quite obviously because as you reach the end, nothing really happens. It's uncertain if you die as you're trying to reach the mountaintop as there's a tombstone shown after you've reached the end, possibly indicating that you went to a better place with the help of the dead race, however as you die the mountain does give life to a new adventurer. Something like that, rest is very subjective.
