Interesting to see how a game mostly conceptualized by one guy can turn out.

Austin Fritzke I think Matt, Jenovah, and Austin were all equally important.

11:41 Journey Color studies where done with Colors! DS? I am thrilled! Somehow Colors! on the DS lends itself amazingly well for quick color studies, I used it back then all the time.

Excited for times when these restrictions will no longer be there and the artistic vision will be the only limitation.

hardware limitation its a good thing in a lot of cases, the limitations make us find a way or a workarrowd to a problem that could be even better and original than the first idea!

Areeya Jaidee Yeah, restrictions breed creativity. You can’t be creative when you don’t have anything to base your product off of.

yeah i actually adore the glyphs the way they and as someone who knows nothhing about art and the process in video games, i wouldve never even thought that they mightve looked different at some point. and seeing the original i indeed like the glyphs even better the way they are in the final game some things looked "better" in the original sketches and drawing and some things improved on those because of the limitations. its so fascinating"

OK. The drawing at 1:21 is almost identical to the protag in Pathless, which is also made by Matt Nava!

I love 2:20. It’s not right for the vision but it’s awesome.

sounds like a lot of what makes journey so meaningful ended up happening by accident. weird how things work out that way.

All characters that are like a blob with two legs are good, e.g. Journey, Fall Guys, Among Us. Prove me wrong.
