Oh my gosh. Not only did my respect for The Salvation Army grow from this, but I was moved so much by both of their testimonies. That was wonderful!

Wow, I am a huge fan of The JH show, and to be honest more of an "addict" than fan. This is one of the most powerful conversion stories I ever heard. Matt & Rachel's commitment to Jesus and living your faith is so monumental. To drop your career and to sell all your possessions to lead the lost back to Christ. What a massive commitment to Jesus. I am so proud to be Catholic to know that we have brothers and sisters in Christ like these two tremendous examples. Thank you for sharing your story. If you are ever in the Boston area I hope you come to my parish (St. Stanislaus FSSP) in Nashua ,New Hampshire. God Bless you!!! Christ is King!!!

To be honest, what a compliment to the Salvation Army Church that they are known not by their theology, thoughts, or statements of faith, but known by their works of love -which is faith working through love. Very cool! Glad these two are home now!

This conversion story was interesting to me because of their conversion from the Salvation Army. Of all the stories that I have listened to, none have been from this group. I am not familiar with their theology at all. For that reason, I couldn't get enough. Thank you and God bless you all!

The problem with Christ and His Church is that they are anti-ego. As we see, this is a hard sell in America. Americans are rugged individualists who joyfully accept Christ - on THEIR terms.

@HAL9000-su1mz Very problematic! Jesus put the Pope in charge to keep the ship heading in the right direction. When we become our own Pope, we choose our own theology and quickly fall off course. May God lead all people to the truth in His Church! 🙏

@@rosiegirl2485 Notice that "Protestantism" claims to be Christianity, and some of it still is, but its very foundation is the human ego.

Any chance of getting Gerard A. Figurelli on Journey home interviews? He did one already on 'The Cordial Catholic' ... but its a nice story and an accomplished student.

@@HAL9000-su1mz I quoted scripture. It's not anti-Christian or harrassment. Popery is anti-Christian. Read about the Inquisition and read The Jesuit Oath. It's still ongoing, no matter what pope is sitting on the man made throne. End of discussion.

@@BarbTaylor-g2k You twisted it. 2 Peter 3:16. You persecute the Body of Christ - baptized Christians - therefore you persecute Christ for the sake if your preferences and biases. Yet, it is YOUR theology which is novel; which incites you and leads you to lash out at brothers and sisters. What "Gospel" would do that? I do not see Christ in your words. Only ego. Prayers for humility.

@@BarbTaylor-g2k The Protestant (eg. KJV) version of the bible, has books and I think also a letter, missing from it. They were taken out from the bible 500 years ago by the so-called Protestant 'reformers'. The bible had remained static in terms of which books and letters were in it, from around the 4th century. I kindly suggest you investigate this. After that, can you please then explain how Protestants can have credibility regarding their 'scripture alone' approach, and also in regard to their statements that Catholics aren't biblical enough, when they are using a version of the bible that was mutilated by them 500 years ago?
