I have seen Journey many times with Arnel. He is 100% the real deal. Super talented vocalist and a good front man too. Neil Schon should be grateful that Arnel stayed when he started his usual band members attack to prove he’s the alpha dog or Journey. These guys are still packing crowds in. Although I still love Dean Castronova too. He kills it every song he sings. Great combo. Let go of you Steve Perry nonsense, he left decades ago. He knows he could never sing these songs again but the fans who don’t want to admit their old now, won’t let it go.

This great band has a very long stretch of Tour Concerts this year( 2024) They started early February and they kept going and going, that's amazing! ****The Journey band is extremely lucky to have recruited Arnel Pineda, who has remained loyal to the band as a successful frontman for 17 years ( from 2007-2024 and counting! ) >>AP added more life to Journey's success when he joined Journey in 2007, at the time that Journey's popularity was floundering ... ever since Steve Perry left, and the arrival of AP, he revived theJourney band with success after success in its Concerts, all over the world ! Arnel is very instrumental for Journey's reaching that 50th milestones with success!!..Maybe one reason was that Arnel Pineda has that versatile vocal ability, endurance, and young looks,( yes, he's in his mid 50's but he looks like 20 years YOUNGER!!} and superb energy and charms to capture the crowds on the stage and give an incredible performance every time! In an interview Arnel shared the first BIG paycheck he received from the band and he said he was in SHOCK, never seeing that kind of $$$ before in his life. Who knows how much it was but I'm sure it was PLENTY THOUSANDS 😊 For a kid that was living in the streets of Manila at one time in his life you just know he's giving some of it back to help the homeless in Manila. Arnel is all CLASS ☺

OBVIOUSLY he is no Steve Perry cause there is only one SP but fans recognize him and love him. I think his voice is sadly gone, but not sure replacing him is the answer as it would be a brand identity crisis this late in the bands life. Replacing him would be challenging, like replacing Perry all over again, well not quite but I think you know what I'm saying.
