Also didn't take a cloud of cheap Bakemono which would have made up for the numbers. Temple do similar things with their farmers and other peasants.

Yeah like they were saying at the end, a few bakemono might have made the difference. This game is great in the fact that even the small point cost units can really hold a lot of value. Tying up enemy big-hitters, overwhelming targets that are hard to get hits on, and claiming control zones. Those ninjas definitely have a lot of sweet tricks though. This game is awesome. Gotta get a few more models to paint and try out some different builds for the Tengu.

Shane Peate I mean I think the savage wave player could have still won with this list, he just needed to play differently. Use his passes more aggressively (ie let the ninjas tire themselves out before combat even started) and spread himself less thin. He might have even wanted to completely ignore one side of the board. He also got slightly unlucky on some of those rolls. Not to take anything away from ashe's play of course, that spirit block into deletion of oni was impressive.
