Today I wanted to chat about my journey to becoming a "new" me, while at the same time trying to regain certain aspects of myself I feel I have lost over the years. Taking control of my mental health and learning to be strong and confident in what I want and where I want to go.

I just wanted to let you know that I really admire, and appreciate you opening up about your feelings, and your struggles. I think that you are a really strong person to be able to do that. I wouldn't be able to. I have depression and anxiety, and your life seems exciting to me, compared to mine. So, just to be able to share your thoughts, and even having a KZbin channel, makes you sooooo brave! You're a great guy Will!

I feel like the older we get the “wiser” we become. I can see where your worry comes from and thinking about your future, I totally understand! Every day is a new day...keep your chin up and know that you’ve got an army of friends now behind you!

I just watched Lauren's video where she unboxed your gift and she put your link so I came over to your channel. That was so nice of you! I just want to say thank you for being vulnerable and talking about these types of things you are going through. I can relate to just about everything you said, the overthinking and anxiety and comparing myself to others, and it really does help so much to know your'e not alone when dealing with these things. I just subscribed and I can tell you are a sweet genuine person and I look forward to watching more of your videos.

It’s hard to remember BUT I do make sure I don’t skip your ads. I want you to be happy and this channel to ease your mind of worries, financially at least! I pray that you’re channel blows up so well that you don’t ever worry about anything! I don’t do insta or Facebook.

I absolutely love watching you. Mental health is the true key to YOUR happiness! Everything that you've said I can relate to on a personal level. My therapist says," You are your biggest critic, but what are you criticizing?" There is only one of you in this whole world. There is an app called Gratitude literally just to help you feel grateful everyday. Also, I'm currently reading a book called Until I Say Goodbye. Everyday is not promised, everyday you are fully blessed to wake up and enjoy another day, so why not do as much as you can. ♡ Keep posting videos cause I'll keep watching!

I feel your pain. The worry, beat yourself up, I struggle with that same 💩! I never go out to do anything, shop or to club or feel like cleaning my house, or putting on makeup. Mine is part of brain damage with MS. It’s strange how I feel like your my friend and I have never met you!

It's so hard to avoid comparison. I think most of us feel the struggle along with you and I so appreciate your honesty on the subject. Just keep in mind "all that glitters is not gold". Unrelated note: I find your voice so calming. I notice in every video how comfortable it is to listen to. Keep pushing forward toward your goals. Don't focus on getting to chapter 10 - just chapter 2. When you get there, celebrate that with everything you have and enjoy your victory. Then start your climb toward chapter 3...

I love this comment! I always say that the difference between the poor and wealthy is mostly more zeros. We all experience joy, pain and fears. I also love Will's voice.

I agree, Wills voice is very calming. I always feel calm listening to him. He's good at talking and is very clear. I think he needs to put thar wonderful talking voice to good use by way of making voice overs or talking books for kids or similar.

@@ExtremeMotus I actually just watched it again yesterday since it is on Netflix. I still remembered a lot of the basic guidelines for living a "yes man" lifestyle, but the major difference from how I was living it before is, I don't live anywhere near my friends. And, I know it sounds like an excuse, but my current living situation isn't really conducive to traveling long distance just to hang out and drive back.

Again, you look so handsome in this video as well. I love how you have your hair styled. Kind of short, then parted and longer on the other side. Like the other comment said, you are a great guy. I can tell certain things about people and you are so lovely. I often compare myself to others and you and I will stop doing that together. I love that you want to wear things that make you happy. I do as well but my little voice is saying Courtney you have nowhere to wear those cute things. I don't do much, so why buy them. Ya know. What size are you. I do have a couple things you would Love 💖 Will. I am so glad you opened up and made this video. You are an absolute doll.

I have major demons and have ever since I can remember. I can't ever remember having a mind that was at peace. I've had lots of therapy over the years but there's stuff that I just can't get past particularly not being able to forgive my parents for how they have treated me. Literally everything you have described in this video I have experienced for myself. It's really rubbish Will and I so wish you didn't go through it too. I don't necessarily believe in God but I pray you can get past all these things you have spoken about. Also, I know it's hard nowadays but I think being on social media is absolutely not good for the mind. I deleted Facebook at least five years ago because I got sick of seeing people's "perfect" lives. Please remember that people only put their best bits on Facebook. They are just as likely to have family rows, be in debt, be ill, be depressed etc as the rest of us. They just don't put it because they are trying to show people their lives are perfect when they are not. I don't think there's any such thing as a perfect life. Take care Will. Tracey xx

I relate to so much of what you say as a gay man, although our experiences are different. I come from a family of Irish American worriers. We worry about everything, which in the end turns out to be needless and unwarranted. Those things we worry about never come to pass. I too like to shop and find things that are a bit blingy. Not as conservative for the local area, even if found at Walmart. I think you make a valid point that gay men resonate with since small towns are more conservative, and we don’t all want to stand out. I worry about going to the gay bar at 58 years old, for fear that someone I work with will find out and I work for a large company. Or, they will judge me for being at a bar with young people. I’m now at the point that I say, time to get back to what makes us happy, the flashy watch, the hip clothes, the over the top makeup, if it brings you joy- then go for it. I so admire your ability to keep moving on and re-examining the future. We all need to take inventory once in a while and adjust our direction. Thanks for sharing, Bravo to you! Jeff

OMG! I have been in the same mindset lately. I think it was triggered watching Jeannie Mai. I had no idea who she was until recently. Her mom is my former self, but the older version I want to be. I'll buy funky hats, bright colored clothes and etc. but will wear them once and then they sit. I'm still an extrovert and strike up conversations anywhere. I've been wanting to start a KZbin channel but I'm self-conscious and making excuses. I bought equipment and a computer last year and they sit. After caring for my dad in home hospice and my father-in-law's journey through Alzheimer's, I've been dealing with chronic pain (no drugs, not even aspirin), then a car wreck and last week skin cancer surgery (Frankenstein forehead). Ugh! I reached out to other home based businesses in which to network and build on my blog ideas, but like you, I'm new to a conservative community and most have children or are just boring to be honest. I think we all took a hit mentally in 2016. I'm trying to meet up with someone my age(ish) who's also a creative type and needing to be held accountable, but she travels quite a bit because she has the luxury. I could use a weekly or biweekly accountability partner.
