Originally, there were 16 episodes on a video cd set. Episode 1 was "Crossing the Tongtian River", missing here. In it, they meet with the emperor and Priest Tang recount how they crossed Tongtian River. Episode 16 was "Jingping Mansion" (now Episode 13), with the final 3 and half minute scene on parting with the emperor tacked onto the now Episode 15. The stories in various episodes also don't always match the stories in the original set. But it dosen't matter because the stories don't make sense anyway. Haha.

The second season (I’ll call it for the sake of convenience) is also divided into a couple of arcs of 1 to 3 episodes, each of which taking place in between different arcs of Season 1.
