I like your personality. Each one of us can pick the race/format they want.

I'm enjoying this series very much Jen - not that I see myself walking a marathon any time soon but it's interesting to learn more about what it takes!

I didn't even know they had walking marathons! How awesome! Great video :)
@busybeingjen7 жыл бұрын
Hi Lindsey! They actually don't have walking marathons. They just have time limits, so if you can walk a marathon within the time limit, then you can participate. All that to say... you have to work hard to train and not just plan to stroll the 26.2 miles. :)

I've just done 27,1 in 6'35 though it was cool and ive an advantage as I'm 6'6! I'm hoping to walk the Camino of St James through Spain in a couple of years time.

My fastest marathon (as a walker) was 6 hours and 15 minutes, which averages out to about a 14 minute mile.

How long does it take to walk a full?
@busybeingjen8 жыл бұрын
+Kevin Decoteau When I am at "race pace," I'm walking anywhere between a 14-16 minute mile. Some parts of the race I'm faster than at other times. That said, my fastest was 6 hours and 24 minutes. My slowest was 6 hours and 40 minutes.
@Kevin-gf1yk8 жыл бұрын
That is almost as fast as running/jogging!
@busybeingjen8 жыл бұрын
Well, not quite, but my friends and I do work hard to go fast. There is a time limit on most races, so if you can't finish in 7 hours you get picked up by the "sag wagon."

Looks like your training plan for a marathon is broken

Not sure I understand what you mean.

This is cool. Did you finish your marathon?
@busybeingjen2 жыл бұрын
Yes. I've finished five full marathons. Because I walk, it takes a lot longer, but the training paid off. :) --Jen

I love your tops!! Do you shop online? Great video
@busybeingjen9 жыл бұрын
marinemom03 I must admit that I hate clothes shopping. If there were just a store with all things that fit me, I would be so happy! I do most of my shopping at Kohl's and some at Target and Ross. I also like shirts from Fresh Produce (online). Those are a little pricier, but I like that they are fitted, yet "forgiving", if that makes sense.
