Without booking any tour, I tried my luck in the village next to Kochkor to find someone offering horseback riding on a budget.
Luckily, I found the right person, and the next moment I was on a horse heading towards Kol‘Ukok lake. Did it go well? Not all the time. 😂 But aside from the rain, it was a fun ride! It’s a real hidden gem-don't expect to find this lake in Lonely Planet, and the yurt life there was very authentic.
I met another solo traveler, and together we made our way back to the valley.

Thank you so much again☺️ your comments always make me smile! I am now posting from my trip back in July! I started this KZbin channel when I arrived to Central Asia and I didn’t expect it to be so time consuming with all the editing. I was a bit on a schedule during my Central Asia trip, that’s why I’m now taking a month off here in India to work everything off and then hopefully continue in real-time. But there is soooo much more incoming, I would actually need 5 months off traveling to finish all the videos..😅🥺

I could somehow feel you are somewhere here, in India, that’s why I wrote you “Namaste”, because when we genuinely pray, unselfishly &unconditionally, for somebody’s well-being, it’s not just universe or divinity, but our hearts also attain revelation about the person means such pure prayers, beyond any religion or such thing, truly work. Also, Valerie, the smile you get is kind of belonging, that you, yourself, have self realised with entire creation, look wherever you go, no matter the struggles but you always smile, that’s most special & the best of you, bringing good vibes in lives of people you meet in person , we viewers too!! Cows are generally just really curious beats!! I woke up from a campsite nap in South Dakota 🇺🇸 surrounded by 80 or 90 cows. Kinda fun till I saw 2 huge bulls with them.

Hello Valerie, I never used any social media so this platform is the only place that I can communicate with you. I am a solo traveler as you, not because I do not like company its mostly because I am spontaneous, and travel often to wild and adventurous places. On my trips, I have noticed a phenomenon of mostly solo women traveling. I do have much respect each time when I meet one. I must admit you were impressed. I would like to suggest you check this next destination. I have been going there for nature, ethnic cultural absorption, and horseback riding. Lovely people, friendly and welcoming. I lived in many places around the world and traveled a lot, definitely visited Georgia in the summer for at least 2 weeks. If you would like I can provide you all the information with recommendations and tips. I will be flying this Summer to Georgia again as I have fallen in love with that lovely country.
