@Roadster yeah well tell me what ttp stands for? It stands for tarik-e-Taliban Pakistan. Also this group doesn't have ties with just America and Pakistan. It has ties to neighboring india too. They've be funding them and providing equipment. Lastly how is Pakistan a safe haven, when Pakistan has been fighting them for twenty years and is the only country which actually managed to beat terrorism. Not only that but the major attacks that happen in Pakistan, the culprits come from Afghanistan.
@naqigardezi98504 жыл бұрын
@Roadster so what do you want me to call ttp? Not tarik-e-Taliban Pakistan? What name should I call them? It doesn't make sense, and there is no proof that ttp is under isi control, that is because the main group that the pak army has defeated was ttp. Ttp was killing soldiers and the army, so your claim that isi would be involved makes no sense and the fact that isi is responsible for breaking ttp is proof of that. So I don't really know where you get such stupid information from, my guess would be some anti Pakistan media. Let me see Indian media seems the right tool to spread misinformation. I mean they even say pigeons are sent by isi.

I think it could have been part of the US plan of getting Iran more involved in Bush's Axis of Evil agenda...to maybe have more grounds in attacking or invading Iranian sovereignty, while they were planning to set up base on grounds near oil and gas-rich countries like Iraq. Before this incident, Iran was supportive of the Afghan Northern Alliance, and the city of Mazari Sharif was one of the headquarters of the alliance. It is reported that between May and July 1997 Abdul Malik Pahlawan executed thousands of Taliban prisoners as a revenge for the 1995 death of Abdul Ali Mazari. "He is widely believed to have been responsible for the brutal massacre of up to 3,000 Taliban prisoners after inviting them into Mazar-i-Sharif."[4] As revenge, Taliban forces captured Mazar-i-Sharif and killed hundreds of Northern Alliance members, particularly members of the Hazara and Uzbek ethnic group as they were accused of being the ones who carried out the killings of Taliban prisoners.

That's absolutely false. Just a made up story to justify Taliban's brutality. Pak continued to control Taliban & startrd a civil war right after Soviets left. All other groups were in favour of joint governance except Taliban. Pak wanted control over Afghan against India for Kashmir. In fact they were mostly Pak Pashutun fighters amongst the Taliban, but there were no fighterrs from India,, Iran, Tajik, Turkaman or Uzback stans in the Civil war after Soviets, there were only Pakistan Taliban 1.0 was insanely brutal to begin with. In those regions they kill discriminately especially at the beginning just to establish thier rule by fear, which was what Taliban did more at that time [just like Mongolians @ the time of Genghiz Khan] When people fear the conquerors, there will be absolute cooperation amongst the captured. It is an interesting conundrum. Do we ally with Iran or not? Iran has the military capability to fight off the Taliban and bring stability to all Afghanistan. On the other side Iran is destabilising the Middle East with its nuclear ambition and threatening countries such as Israel .... Also Iran is now the only military force in the region capable of fighting isis because the Turks have no interest and would rather support isis than see the Kurds gain their legitimacy. We are seeing a shift of regional power to Iran and Turkey. Pakistan has never been a threat to Afghanistan and Iran, because they are fully committed with India, that is why Pakistan is fully committing its intelligence services in Afghanistan.
@VanSisean9 жыл бұрын
For some historical perspective, the US and post-revolutionary Iran have been erstwhile allies in the past, probably for purposes of geostrategic expediency. Lest one forget, to name just a few examples, Zbigniew Brzezinski's early overtures to Mehdi Bazargan, the Iran-Contra affair, the Gulf War and subsequent coordinated efforts to destabilize Iraq under Saddam Hussein's administration, the "Croatian arms pipeline" in Bosnia, attempted rapprochement with Ayatollah Rafsanjani, the War in Afghanistan against the Taliban, the Iraq War to depose Saddam in favor of the INC government, and the recent negotiations with Hassan Rouhani, all of these were and are efforts of US policy that seized upon Iranian cooperation. The question, then, would probably be whether the US should break the formula or not? Of course, at the time shown in the video, the United States had a close informal relationship with the Taliban for, among other reasons, their proxy enmity with Iran (see: www.historycommons.org/entity.jsp?entity=taliban).

I would be the first to endorse a all expense pay'd trip too Ottawa for all these armed Talaban with the same goal! Two can play their game of CHAOS & Russian roulette!
