One thing that is important to keep in mind with jousting, especially in original Dungeons& Dragons are the castle tables. We see a lot of flight capable mounts. This really adds some weight to jousting. When you fall off of a Griffin life ain't going to keep going.

I made my own rules for jousting.

I was Hollyfelled's first opponent, and had to step away for a bit to take care of something. I believe what happened was we got to the point where we would've each unhorsed each other, so he rolled off for us, and we rolled ties for two or three tilts in a row. It was a very close affair.

I probably should've used my PC in the campaign, but I wasn't sure what was going on, and knew I'd be distracted, so I just elected to pilot an NPC.

Heck, you have to joust if you come with in range of Lord's Castle. It's either that they're taking all your crap.
