I don't think so. Partey is playing too good to drop him, and Declan Rice is the glue to the team and is getting more comfortable as a box to box mid.

In the past, I like Cazorla and Fabregas. And now I like Jorginho and Merino. To complete the midfield, we have to sign one or two of Baena, Eze or De Jong, or even Tonali, Unuvar, Tommy Doyle, Roca or Ceballos.

I think in these tight games, it can make a huge difference, seems like they are playing that inward pass to saka knowing he will most likely be fouled as the way rice was taking them, he seemed like a position he's practised a lot... adapting our game to be fouled in the right places is the way to go with how good we are with set plays

James, you forgot another good example to show today. There was a moment that a long ball was realeased from a distance free kick, then merino just touch the air ball to the side to find Martinelli, who then cross the ball on the other flank to find a free-marked Trossard... but the brazilian got a wrong touch - again... who else saw that in the game? I thought it was a really good and smart plan.

Rice isn't particularly good as an eight. But if you have to play him as an eight, he's much better on the right side. He seems more comfortable in passing when he's on the right.

How many "goals" has Harvetz cost us defending! Criticism is good IF it's productive, BUT at least lay your basis, don't just blanket. Harvetz as 9, false 9, or in the mid is a work horse for 90mins(in going forward, pressing, dropping to collect n even defend). You can argue he needs to work on his finishing, so that when he gets 3chances he either scores ALL, or 2 of them 3. AND his hold up play for the long ball can further polished too.

@vuthanhtruong6327 it's a viable option, though whoever plays the Left back will have to put in a proper shift, as Trossard's backtracking can't be compared to Martinelli's. OR the Left 8 will need to do more.
