[Before & After Mod] Sierra (mb. Schindler) Traction Elevators-Circus Circus Sky Tower-Reno, NV

[Recorded 7-22-19] These were pretty epic Sierra Elevators with Armor up until 2018. I'm pretty bummed that not a single part was saved by anyone. Man, it would've been nice to get a 28 floor Armor COP. Oh well. Schindler basically just did a slap on mod. The cabs are still ugly and I wish they redid them. These are also now completely locked off. As of now, the University of Reno owns this hotel tower and uses it as student housing. You have to be a student to even get anywhere near these. Very interesting. RIP Sierras. The hotel floors were VERY nicely redone tho!

That lease was only for one year while Nye and Argenta Halls were repaired from the boiler explosion. I wonder how the other world events have (or haven't?) affected their timeline.

Ewww those bright blue signs look terrible! If anything they should have made them red like the buttons. I wonder why they they put those lights in and removed the voice?

Sad to see that those unique and beautiful Armor fixtures and indicators are gone for some lame Schindler/MAD mod, but at least they are still fast... or they kept the indicators moving fast which is some original equipment. Well, now it has BRIGHT BUTTONS!! so that can't be bad, right?

Damn! That just sucks!!! They did seem a little old, but Getting rid of Armor??!! Booo. Double boo how they are key carded. I do like the sort of directory for the lower floors though. Weird how so many places made hotels into apartments or student housing.

Not too bad of a mod. But probably one of the more meh mod jobs Schindler has done. Wish they did more than a slap on and replaced everything including the cabs

I like the Armor Fixtures in these things, these are nice elevators but sad these were modded and this is just a disappointing schindler mod to be honest.
