LOUD Schindler Hydraulic Freight Elevator - Westfield Valley Fair Mall - San Jose, CA

[Recorded 1-15-22] Here is a revisit to the nastiest elevator in this whole mall. This is the main dock/food court freight elevator. Anytime there is food involved and an elevator that goes to the trash compactor, it's always gonna be a lovely experience. Since my last time here, this elevator has gotten a few improvements, but not much. The hoistway was repainted and the hoistway door on the first floor doesn't slam into the ground every time. It still does, just not all the time. The cab was cleaned up a little bit too. The controller was messed with because now the door buttons don't do anything. Holding down the button for the opposite floor you're on closes the doors. Super strange. That was not the case last time. The motor is still super loud and unhealthy-sounding.
