Every week I watch Bonnie Erbe’ on PBS, a panel discussion program covering issues of interest to most women, ‘To The Contrary’, I now realize that it’s from where I have drawn most of my opinions on the wide raging subject of women in the marketplace, and of their cultural confinement largely in America, while often the representative ages of the women provide a cross section and ethnicities, it always boils down to, no gray hair, ever, and red rosy greasy lips, further, which over the years through my viewing, I have taken an offence to such displays, much like adding lock and chains to their gender without an excape key…of which they have grown captive, seemingly enjoying the captivity of their gender…as described in the Rogers and Hammerstein’s song, “I enjoy being a girl”… from the musical “Flower Drum Song”…
