So good! Love the use of the existing case, makes it a lot easier to produce and more durable to boot.

I'm super happy with the feel of them, much better then something I could have printed And I was surprised by how much room I had in them, I thought it was going to be a struggle to fit everything

Great project! I had commented on your channel many years ago on a ESP-Now version of a small bot I made. Your version is great . Couple things I had on mine you might consider 1) binding buttons on both the bot and controller. so I don't have to hard code the 2 to each other. 2) I added a small OLED screen and a menu system that allows the user to change driving characteristics (max speed, rate of steering, reverse wheel direction, flip wheels, trim, restore defaults) . Building these every year has been the highlight of the high school robotics club I sponsor. If your interested in some of the features or how I did some of it in code let me know I can share in a video or email.

I do want to implement binding, but my plan was to do that with the shoulder buttons Something like hold one or both down while powering on to enter bind mode Screens are cool if you want general purpose and on controller config, I'm using these in a limited capacity and wanted them as cheap as I could get them

ive always thought that turning my old PS3 controllers into rc controllers would be cool i can imagine building a RC car or even a robot with fast drive that i can drive using the same buttons configuration used in a need for speed game, zooming around the battle box with style.

Very good idea with the joycon handle. We really looked into using esp32 for our demo bots for the cheap price of everything, but ended up going with malenkis and fs-i6 radios. They work well but all the kids always want to know what all the buttons and switches do. But this gives us a good idea of how we could do V2.

I'm pretty happy with them, they have more space in them then I expected and are pretty cheap

Are you going to release the pcb files for this system?

I havent decided yet I want to implement more feature and test them in combat before I even think about releasing them
