Marvelous song! My husband and I were landing in New York when this song started playing in the plane. Both of us taped a bit in our phones, just to make sure to find it later. We were not sitting together and laugh later at our doing the same without knowing. As a previous commenter has written, this is a masterpiece.

I really enjoyed people dancing in the background, as well! I was kind of expecting this music video to have the people of London smiling and kissing (given the lyrics to When You Were Mine) and how she has given tribute to her diverse background in her past songs and music videos but I was not expecting anything like this. I guess I should have known given the fact that Joy always adds a special touch to everything she does. But yeah I was surprised with the way it was directed. It was so beautiful. It was like I was there. & one of my favorite people dancing in her music video was the men that were together smoking and when they looked at the camera they looked mad. I was a bit scared, ngl. However, then the next clip of them was them dancing and it was like wow, Joy brings out the beauty and love that was already there but wasn't seen before. I think this shows her mentality of progressiveness and inclusion. 💕 I'm starting to realize a lot of her can really be seen in her music videos & songs.

When you were mine - LYRICS In the summer of '16 Was it love or nicotine That made us mellow on the thirty-five? It was penny paradise, just a pretty likkle lie And it hit me when I saw you Hand in hand, Coldharbour Lane Never take it easy on the PDA I don't miss you, least not that way But someone better want me like that someday Shoulder to shoulder Smile with a Brixton shine But you weren't that kind When you were mine J.D. and Cola Don't even have to try But you wеren't that guy When you werе mine When you were mine By the Ritzy, made to measure I'm shook but you look good together I had my hesitation, but I just can't hate him You're breaking all the rules Down Electric Avenue, woah I've never seen two men move Hand in hand, Coldharbour Lane Never take it easy on the PDA I don't miss you, least not that way But someone better want me like that someday Shoulder to shoulder Smile with the Brixton shine But you weren't that kind When you were mine J.D. and Cola Don't even have to try But you weren't that guy When you were mine When you were mine Saw you smiling, I don't mind it Even though we had our moments hanging by a thread Don't mean that I could go forget When you were mine When you were mine Shoulder to shoulder Smile with the Brixton shine But you weren't that kind When you were mine J.D. and Cola Don't even have to try But you weren't that guy When you were mine When you were mine Woah, you weren't that guy, mh-mh You weren't that guy When you were mine
