Rare recording of Joy Division performing their opening song of their support slot for The Stranglers at The Rainbow Theatre London.
Later the same evening, the band played at The Moonlight Club in London.

Uploaded for the first time on the 41st anniversary of the gig. Apologies for poor sound quality - this is taken from my master cassette tape recording and the best known available quality and uploaded as a historical record of this legendary performance.
For avoidance of doubt, I do not own the copyright of this material and would urge all those interested in this track to purchase official Joy Division recordings through the usual channels. Their catalogue of material is quite small but the content is stunning.

No, it was during ATROCITY EXHIBITION which was also recorded (it was the first clip released - so far we have that, a section of DECADES, and this).
