This is a gracious study in blended appreciation for one of the best songs of the 80's, post punk and modern rock era's by a band that evolved when it had to through tragedy. They traveled musically of two distinct personalities and sounds styles, this effort captures the spirit of their combined essence and the greater sound project here is also a tribute, a capsule with a modern, ambient shoe gaze twist. Well done.

Or as Ian Curtis sang it... This is why it's so unnerving Would you say the same old story? This is why the wheels are turning Turn away and turn again this time Listen now the savior's calling Come again and we won’t be here Travelled fast but now I'm stopping Think again and change its way this time Oh, I'll break them all no mercy shown Heaven knows I’ve got to get somewhere Watching her, a sinking ship The time she cried, but failed to wake this time I'll break them all no mercy shown Heaven knows it's got to be this time Avenues all lined with trees Picture me in ten years time watching Watching forever Watching forever (For)Ever, let it be so Forever, let it be so Let it be so Always be so

whoever you are: thank you! a thousand times, thank you. This is a magnificent song, at the very top of the list of all the great JD and early New Order songs. And other than the original New Order 12-inch, they never really recorded a great version. (Radiohead's cover is wonderful, though.) Anyway, thanks!!!! if you can do this with "Love will Tear Us Apart," you'll earn a Nobel prize.

I was 16, it was the mid eighties and I met Tommie at a record store in Houston, within 5 minutes of meeting someone new Tommie always asked "what's your favorite song", looking back I am sure it was a way to see if there was a future friendship or not, I answered "New Order, Ceremony" I still remember his reply "Oh 5hit have you heard the original?"

@kiltedanais2 жыл бұрын
the FAC is for Factory Records, I always assumed the number was the 33rd record/album, much like Mute records Bong labels you see on Depeche Mode and their other artists. Anyone feel free to correct me or be more precise. The wolf and red flame with the Latin word Veritas (meaning Truth) is still is mystery to me. check out thevinylfactory.com/features/tracing-the-art-of-new-order-in-10-iconic-record-sleeves/ it doesn't explain your question but wonderful just the same.
