I learned a lot from Joy in this interview. Her explanation of the cycle of abuse helped me understand why people stay in violent relationships.

talking about grief is hard and i can only imagine it's even harder to do it publicly in the way Dan does. i lost both of my parents (early 60s) within the last couple of years and i can honestly say no one has articulated what loss feels like better than Dan. it sucks to go through and experience, but it also sucks to feel like you can't explain the feelings of pain, loss and grief. it doesn't make it go away, but being able to put words to those feelings somewhat makes the burden a little lighter. i don't know when or if the grief and mourning stops, but i hope the good days outnumber the bad ones. Thanks Dan!

I love Joys takes, but despise the show Speak. mostly because of Acho. I hope she gets her own show to host.
@JDub062311 ай бұрын
Agree 💯.. I'd occasionally listen to The Herd pod (among many other shows/pods) during my long work days & absolutely loved her co-host duties on there, & it was also one of the very very few shows I still listened to at all with the "star" out, while Joy filled in, but I just cannot tolerate the show Speak either.
@nealedavisfitness693711 ай бұрын
Definitely! Not only is she fine, but she knows her stuff. Her takes are measured and spot on.

I like her. I don't think she can hold a show by herself. At least not yet. She'll be a great co-host. And yes, acho is way over the top on Speak.

Well, I'm still gonna simp for Joy even though she doesn't see it on Twitter. Lol, but seriously, it's crazy to see people hate on her and try to put her appearance down. She has a mirror, and we have eyes. The insult doesn't work against her or triggers her supporters.

At the beginning of the interview, she was trying to make the point that asking a female sports reporter how she got into sports was offensive. Dan really didn't catch it because he has obviously been asked that question before. Dan unwittingly mooted her point.

I caught that but I really thought he was asking how’d you know you wanted to be in this specific business of talking sports. But yeah they didn’t elaborate
