I don't usually comment but this made me relive so many things that have happened in my. I'm 71 years old and so angry with myself for letting people talk me and mistreat me, you have to speak up for yourself and if they continue to have and most of the time it's best to leave them alone altogether. Yes follow your first mind and also pray about. It a nice way to say anything. Love you personally don't let people change you. Sometimes it feels like the hold world is against you, but it's just showing who's really for you.

I’ll be 69 next month and at this juncture of my life I’m not letting nothing, nor anyone have my peace, nor my joy! You have to understand no one takes (steal) these emotions away from you. You give them away (you have a choice). It was like a couple of months ago I had to let go of a 5+ years friendship, because my name came up in some mess and that right there was enough for me. I tried to help my friends situation and got thrown dead in the middle of it (never again). From that point on I told my friend “you know me and you know how much I value my peace. I’m sorry, but I gotta go. I love you, I’ll continue to pray for you, but my peace has been compromised, and I gotta move myself out of the equation. Joy I promise you someone else’s issue with you is not yours. Let them go and LIVE!!! Love you gurl ❤

Sometimes family can be the worst. I feel like 2024 the Most High forced me to let some people go including family. I lost my home and vehicle from Milton and I'm now living in an extended stay. Being here is so uncomfortable for me. I can be a social butterfly when in public but when it comes to being at home I do not have company at all so, having to live here has taken me completely out of my comfort zone/safety net. I can definitely relate to what you're saying about not being a phone person. I'm more of an in person person if that makes sense. I've met 2 wonderful women via social media over the past 2 years and we've become really great friends. This is simething that I had been praying for. Both ladies are in different states so we typically chat or 3 way. Welllllll, I do really bad with the chat. I'll see the messages and not have the desire to engage. I've been feeling like a horrible friend. I've apologized and let them know that I'm aware of my actions and will try to do better butttt... I know that's not going to happen because I need to first understand why I'm even like this or if it's even actually a problem. 🤔 I really appreciate you being open and honest because I definitely need to pray about this and seek some therapy. Side 📝, gurl F them boxes. We tryin to get our mental all the way together and we definitely ain't spinnin the block! 😅😅😅

When you have a true relationship with the most high people flake away he takes them away because you no longer have anything in common with those people that's why we feel like we're alone because we're scattered everywhere in the world he will bring us together from every corner of the world the most high brings joy in every way he knew you when you were in your mother's womb so go to him with any problems that you have and be patient I'm waiting on his answer I wasn't affected as much in Hurricane Milton but yes I am a loner I have been here for at least 30 years and now the closer I become in my relationship with the most high my circle which was really a spec has now dwindled down to myself my best friend and a couple of other women that is hopefully starting their walk I don't really do social media but you sound so much like myself all all praises to the most high do peace be upon you❤

Every feeling & emotion you have described are valid Joy and it's true that being fat does play into the way ppl treat you including your family members. Been there,got the t- shirt. Having Friends(plural) is way too overrated,one good one is enough,even if it's a family member. I know exactly where you're coming from Joy and because you seem to mirror me,being very generous,kind and considerate,I've learned that for a certain kind of person,these attributes are exactly what they're looking for in order to use and abuse you. I'm my own best friend now but I do have associates 🤔 I don't give or loan them money or go out of my way to help them,I let them solve their own problems and if they ask the only thing I do give is my advice. It was hard but to protect me,it has to be done. And Joy never allow anyone to make you feel small. ❤❤❤❤

I AM FEELING WHAT YOU'RE FEELING... I have a good set of friends, but in the last few years, reflecting on certain situations to where I am working on ways to distance myself without having to explain and point fingers of blame but just create a new environment as I work on myself. I've been big ALL my life but have been in a battle these last 10 yrs where I've been my largest 5 shy from 500 😅 it's new to me but first rough experience is we went to an event and everyone was power walking I struggled the entire night playing catchup and trying to joke about me laughing but cried because I didn't want to express my embarrassment. This yrly event has caused me to start renting a scooter which I am even more embarrassed by but it's mainly to keep me in the mix not 100% due to mobility and guess what they still move faster and through crowds to where I am at the back. Soo much more to say but I say all this to say too many a time your story is my story and it's a hurtful but relieving realization of how I've allowed myself to used by others and still so unseen

Hey Joy, I saw that movie and the message for me was that the character Tarji played was due to low self esteem, which enable her to see the full picture from the guy who started out with needing help, taking advantage of her weakness. The character portrayed that we as women should never over share, stop trying to help a man who has clearly shown his actual character and learn to move on until the right guy presents.
