I am very impressed with J's work with basso....I was informed beyond "singing" and found myself smiling as the character of Basilio grew before my ears and eyes. She put in some serious and caring work...rather than just doing a star turn at a Master's class. This was a serious teacher caring about student and the piece coming alive. Brava!!!!

Oh wow. Anthony, that sound is incredible; & that is how you do it! Great work sir. And by the way, that pianist, OMG'oodness, Justina Lee, is a sharp cookie. She plays beautifully, & she is definitely on her J.O.B. Fantastic work you guys!

The teaching method of Joyce Didonato is very fine and it is wonderful over fine details. Upon receiving her teaching, everyone improves like a different person at one time.

Amazed by the way she makes this aria something that connects great techniques and emotion, she´s humble saying she´s not a pedagogue, i wish a lot of people in any field could take example from her..... empathy, funny, specific, wow, i love her. Congrats to Anthony as he integrates with speed the insights and tips, to make this aria unique.....

A note to Carnegie Hall: on 0:14 it says that Anthony Robin Schneider is a "soprano" - and I am pretty sure that it is not Adam Nielsen playing the piano

Hmmmm - 9:50 onwards, where he talks about "cruising" at the opening of an audition. I hope he got from JdD that "cruising" is never an option for someone who wants to be an artist, not just a voice.......... He said that "la Calunnia" is often his second piece - but if you've started on cruise, you'll often continue on cruise (which I think he does, throughout). Sure, it's fine to give a first piece that sits well in your voice, lets you shake the nerves out, doesn't take the voice straightaway to your tricky spots; but I hate to hear the word "cruise" in relation to any piece in any audition! One a cruiser, always a cruiser.......

So true. Big singing is boring after 10 seconds. Of course that's not universal, but the sentiment is true. There is so much over-volumizing in opera.

POVERO RAGAZZO ! O TEMPORA O MORES !!!!

he has such a great talking voice, when he sings his voice is really stiff... what Joyce Di Donato is teaching is absolutely right, but he need someone who work with him on vocal quality. When he say "ya" we can hear a phantastic bass voice, but the next moment his singing remains more to a boring baritone (i don't dislike barotone, but bad baritones 😈)

Mediocre? She's deservedly at the top of the operatic world. Don't put her in the same class as Netrebko. And you'll notice she's working on expression and not technique, though that wouldn't be a crime. Get a clue.
