The student is doing pretty well, but to improve the approach should be different. I notice a tension in trying to be accurate. Donna Anna , even if she is vulnerable, should have a overwhelming security in breathing and phrasing! To much overinterpretation of the character and to littel bodywork. Sorry!

Sorry again, what is Donato doing? I feel sorry, but she is bypassing the little difficulties the good soprano has. The breathing and phrasing is pretty good, but not excellent. This girl would learn more, if she would just listen to Edda Moser and Elisabeth Grümmer. Her interpreation is not the matter! The technical details are not solved! Joyce di Donato should know and give advice!

È vero. La Donato is just demonstrating, what a great teacher she is supposed to be. Maybe Callas in her masterclasses was rough, but at least she gave a glimpse of real maestry!!! And she focussed on voicetechnique. Povera ragazza!
