"À Chloris" by Reynaldo Hahn is my favourite mélodie française, along with also Hahn's "L'heure exquise" and "Il pleure dans mon cœur" by Frederick Delius. Thank you Joyce for your wonderful artistry!

Absolutely gorgeous and so beautifully sung and played by the amazing Joyce, I remember Susan Graham having performed this piece. Thank you for sharing this video it’s exactly what we need right now, a balm for the soul. I really hope and pray that I will get to hear Joyce again live as I still have strong memories of her performing in Agrippina and Semiramide which I was very fortunate to hear her at Covent Garden.

She's an exceptional all around musician. She doesn't need a coach because of her keyboard skills are superior and she can play through operatic scores when learning or reviewing roles. I don't any other singer who can do that. All the more reason to love Joyce!

Excellent selection . It will hypnotize any who havent heard anything but the everyday pop music . She is a fabulous musician -singer . she is even able to sing at her high level and attempt to accompany herself - Brave ! I love this woman and all she does to keep the spirit and comradeship of all us congregants of music . I so hope she comes to Miami or WestPalm or Broward . Ive never seen her live . I love her masterclasses . Every pianist , violinist whatever would gain from artistry . Reynaldo Hayn is always mentioned by those in the know - this sounds like a Hadyn or Cimarosa aria of the mid17th century not a 20th century french composer . Now i must discover what else he wrote ! Thanks for giving my day additional discovery .Thanks most of all for establishing connections . This is high mezzo music ? But really beautiful full of honest sentiment !

Let's hold the thought that a readjustment of respect is happening all over the world. Certain leaders, down. The people who can help the ill, the key workers keeping society functioning, up and up. And then the people who can give to us, who give these reminders of what human beings can do. That's immeasurably important. 'The still, sad music of humanity'. Doing something beautiful.
