I was brought back to this because an old friend passed away a month ago, hadnt talked to her in years but listening to the wolfs rain soundtrack reminded me of the unusual perspective we were able to connect by. I looked at her as a younger sister but also someone who would be cool to date down the road, she was so cool and beautiful in a way only she could be. we took different paths and became different people but I know that the bond we had was based in something that we would always be able to reconnect by, wolf's rain is an extension of that. Its weird because you usually cherish memories of anime that you watch with your girl but I just let her borrow it and she watched it on her own...she would tell me what parts made her cry and how she wished everyone could live in the end...that purity doesnt go away, even if your body passes. Very weird something so beautiful and well done can bring so much back, especially when it was just an external factor to a bookmark placed on something you never meant to hang up
